another big game another bad output. im getting tired of this guy, he is simply sucking. he has done nothing against the lakers and many other games. how can we win a title with bigs who cant even get a double double. we need to shoot more 3s and just have manu handle the offense even if he gets so tired he gets hurt . he got us 4 rings but thats all we are gonna get from him.

Tim gets a bad rap.

He only makes 18.7 million dollars this season. Tell me another player who produces per dollar like Timmy.

Oh and he'll totally be worth the 21 million he'll get in 2012 too.

If you think that the defense was bad this last game, don't think you want to imagine what the defense would be like without TD.

Regarding the money, I choose to think of these years as payback for when he was on his rookie contract. Yep, that's right - a championship in his 2nd year - a lot of bang for the buck.

BTW,
Kevin Garnett career earnings - $270,115,354
Tim Duncan career earnings - $183,544,536

That's a 2 year difference of $86,570,818 and 3 less championships. TD gets a pass forever for those 4 banners.

I'm not arguing that Duncan isn't entitled to his earnings: he literally is the reason the Spurs still exist in San Antonio. I don't care if he makes 5 or 50 million a year. I believe the Jeter rule applies to Duncan, no question.

It's just that there's this little matter of a salary cap, and his chunk prevents the Spurs from upgrading to a more balanced, effective roster. This is particularly material to the fact this team is one of the biggest penny-pinchers among the perenial contenders.

Are you kidding? Tim is too valuable to risk in regular season and he's our most important player. If you suggest him to retire, go and fuck yourself. If you can't do that call me, I can come and fuck you.

Miami beat us. So what? We're at the top of West well ahead and in ordinary situation we will lock the first place. Miami needed that win more than us, they have something to clean(125-95) and prove. On the other hand it was our 3rd game in 4th night.

The funny thing is, as the Spurs are slumping, Duncan is finally starting to look like he can move freely on the court.

Sounds crazy, but it looks like Duncan has regained his running stride.

If so, that development could be much more significant than the team's woeful play of late.

^ bingo

Duncan is getting into playoff form and stepping it up a notch.

Our team was actually competitive when Duncan was out there.

They've been showing Wade's rejection of Tim all morning long on ESPN.

I didn't see it during the game, but just watching the replay leads to the act of cringing, violently.

Obviously because that fits the narrative ESPN has constructed. If and when the Heat ever manage to win a championship, or even the ECF, the collective media orgasm will be violent and sustained.

Why would Danny DeVito say that? I bet he doesn't even use the internet.

That being said, I did a Google search on "Danny Devito Niggaz" and learned that Danny Devito is mentioned in at least two rap songs. One by Chamillionaire and another by the sometimes incarcerated bad ass bitch, Foxy Brown.

Do the idiots that write these articles ever hear of taxes and agent's fees? "Career earnings"...............yeah, except you don't earn something you never see.

Well, you're changing the subject from Danny Devito. I know what you're saying but I don't think you understand the definition of earnings.

That goes without saying for anyone.

The gross earnings will be factored in for when these guys start receiving social security, so it's certainly very apt in that manner.

This season,
Timmy is the ONLY player in the NBA who is averaging more blocks than foul.
