Call the court immediately, as in right now. Tell them you're an idiot and forgot about it. Be a kiss ass. What happens from there depends on what kind of mood the court is in, but you're absolutely, positively 100% better off contacting them ASAP.

Been trying, they dont answer the phones until 0930. Should i still try and go down there? Would it do me any good or would they just turn me away?

I'd wait to talk to someone on the phone first.

When you get arrested, be sure to request a jury trial.

Were you summoned to bexar county jury duty?

Website says basically a $10 fine of you play along with them, I'm guessing by agreeing to show up at a later date.

Oh, Gee!!

Just show in court screaming "I'm out of order? You're out of order! The whole system is out of order!" Problem solved.

There will be bench warrant issued for your arrest if you do not contact the court immediately and play the kiss-ass role.

Nice. I was actually looking forward to going. I've only been selected one other time and was never put on a jury.

I thought i put it on my calendar, but apparently not. of course the summons is sitting right here in a stack of papers on my desk.

Yea, then one of his jurors will "forget" to show up to his trial and get it delayed so S_P has to spend an extra night or two w/ Bubba and the other non-homosexual rapists in County Jail...I think not! He's better off with a judge in that case.

Oh, Gee!!

Just call them, if they dont answer, just go over there and talk to the people at the desk. They will schedule you for another time and maybe give you some bullshit $10 fee or something.... either way, be sure you do it asap.

This happened to my dad. He called and they rescheduled it for the next week or two. They were actually shocked that he called and admitted to the mistake.

Yeah, its not that big of a deal to just call them and let them know you forgot. Shit happens, they got 500 other people to pick from, its not like they are desperate for people to show up.

Yeah I've forgot about 15 times once. They finnally sent a reminder if I didn't go they would enforce the law. So I called, got put on a list, never called me. Done and done.

I ignored those for the majority of my college years and nothing happened or, at least, I think nothing happened. The first month or so after finishing, they put me on a murder case with a guy that was my exact age. Judge decided to put me on blast and when he asked if I had a degree I said, "Yes" and he was like this is a demonstration of opposite ends of the spectrum...then the defense automatically dismissed me because I guess I would've been against the plantiff.
