For someone so athletic, Westbrook is not a good finisher at the rim. On a break away dunk, sure, but in traffic he is so far below other guards at finishing it is really going to limit his game.

Wade's energy and effort the past 5-6 games has been off the charts. That is why this team is scary. They can defend and have two guys that have a clear other level they can raise their games to when the are giving full effort (playoffs).

I don't see the Heat losing. I think they win it all. It's not just based off of this game, but they have too much talent and they have not been focused all year. That is not to say they haven't had legitimate struggles, they have. But I can't see Lebron/Wade letting a team lose 4 out of 7.

They have the only team where their 2 best players are top 3 on both ends.

DPG21920

Look at that offense by Wade/Lebron and this recent defensive stand where they force a shot clock violation. Wade flew out and then Lebron.

I knew the Lakers were gonna give the Heat life with that that loss. They should have stomped the life out of Miami. I was hoping for a Celtics and Heat loss tonight. The Thunder offense looks like shit without Westbrook running it. Durant is basically a catch and shoot guy so he can't do shit but chuck long jumpers when Westbrook is out.

Wade is 29 I think the Heat have a 3 year window, look at how much Marion has declined at 32. I bet Wade will have a hard time dunking by that age.

DPG21920
03-16-2011, 08:18 PM
Except Wade is 10x the player Marion ever was. The thing about MIA, even though they struggle in the clutch, is they will likely be withing striking distance of every game in the playoffs.

They won't ever be completely over matched.

Kyle Orton
03-16-2011, 08:20 PM
Rofl of course Marion is gonna decline a lot at 32 when every tool he has as a player is something that fades quickly with age (monkey athleticism being the notable one).

03-16-2011, 08:22 PM

No rebounds, no rings. Miami's frontcourt won't outplay the Lakers frontcourt 4 times. Heat don't have the frontcourt to match the Lakers, and good luck eliminating the Lakers if you can't beat them on the boards.

Boston didn't beat LA on the glass IIRC and they won. Their defense is good enough to overcome that IMO. It would be a tight series vs LA and obviously I would not be surprised if LA and they should be the favorites, but I would bet MIA.

Wade is pushing himself into Kobe territory. If he keeps fucking with these officials and crying over barely any contact they're going to start turning a deaf ear to his verbal flops and not call shit. They're doing it a lot with Kobe these days and I hope they start doing it consistently with all star players who bitch too much. And Wade crying over no contact is nothing new. If you watch all of their games, you can tell when they're coasting, pretty easily..they often lack motivation, they have played lazy basketball in plenty of games..

It was surprising to see their effort tonight, though, they played with great effort vs. LA, Memphis and SA..Lebron was the main perpetrator tonight..

Good no call, Wade shoulda attacked the basket more like a man, instead of trying a flippy floppy layup. Probably knew Ibaka would send his trash into the stands.

No more like the Lakers got skull fucked by the better team. Heat own the Lakers.
Same as the Cavs "owning" the Lakers in 2009 and 2010. What good did that do them? Kobe's been waiting for LeBronze to show up in the Finals for 3 years running...:wakeup

Even in the loss, you saw what makes the Heat so formidable. Great win for okc. Perk, even though his stat line wasn't good, he looked solid. He will help.

But you just get the feeling Wade/Bron have a whole other level. Even Bosh.

Still waiting for Lebron to get to a final before I'd consider him great. Has all the physical tools, but....

He already took the Cavs to a final.

It takes more than just 3 guys to win a title. You need size, good role players, intangibles, executing in half court, good coaching etc. You act like winning a title is so easy and that just throwing individual talent will do the trick. It takes more than just talent. As a spurs fan, you should know this. They aren't all that good in a half court set either. Take away their transition game, and that O staggers BIGTIME. It turns into 1 on 1 basketball and that style NEVER wins in the playoffs.

Of course, you will say this Heat team is the exception. You think they will breeze right to a title. You think they have the least flaws out of everyone just cuz they have Wade/Bron/Bosh. You think they have already proven themselves as champions. You are a spurs fan, and you are saying it won't take a team effort for this Heat team to win. :rolleyes

Lakers = class
teamwork = championships
NO REBOUNDS, NO RINGS
the triangle = great execution
iso basketball = classless

Not concerned about this loss, no sir. The Heat will pick it up in the postseason. Everyone doubted the Celtics last year, the Heat in 2006 and the Pistons in 2004 but in the playoffs their true character showed.

This team is no different. Wade will take command, that I have no doubt, Lebron will closely follow and Bosh will be right there according to plan.

Wade's dunk over Perkins was vicious though. Not as good as the one over Varejao but it was more difficult. Dunk of the year.

You act like winning a title is so easy

That's a common misconception of the fellows hereabouts.

Understandable though to a certain extent:::most have never spent a day in their life.

Kiss the rings
Rofl that's my favorite fat beaner shirt in Phoenix, where they have 16 rings on the back and on the front it says, "Kiss the rings, bitch!"

You all should just shut up and leave the analyzing to me. Make Bosh the first option and the Heat would dominate
:lol:lol:lol

Using this logic, Gasol should be the 1st option since he's also playing with the worlds greatest chucker/snitch/rapist/diva/bitch made nigga.

Of course they are. Phoenix's entire hispanic population cheers for the Lakers and has some version of that retarded "Kiss the rings, bitch!" shirt, as if LA's championships were something they accomplished while they used a fake social security number to get welfare.
