The real failure was the Knicks trading so much and D'antoni's coaching.

gallinari has played 2 games so far.

9 and 1 without the centrepiece of the deal from the nuggets POV. lol

Fuck Melo. I hope he does not win anything along with the Heat. And fuck every player who tries to hold their old teams hostage.

Gotta also give credit to George Karl, these last few games they've been blowing out teams. Nobody thought they would still be good and doing it without Gallinari. Chandler is massively underrated.

Nuggets have been more than impressive since the trade. I'm definitely surprised and impressed. That said, I still think the Knicks are in better shape to build a more consistent winner in the future. But can't hate on how the Nuggets have played so far. It's been great for them and their fans.

Don't understand all the haters here. Nuggets fan is happy his team is playing well, AND got to ditch a malcontent. They might suck later, sure, but does anyone think they were winning the LoB trophy this year with Melo anyways?

Enjoy it, Denverfan.

First of all I hope Gallinari thrives in Denver. I think he is quite a player, with a mean streak in him as well. After a tough first game he seemed much more comfortable in the second.

The thing that is very impressive about the Nuggets right now though is their depth. They have a lot of quality players. I don't know what their contract statuses are, but with a good deal or two Denver could get some serious players in return and contend once again. As good as they are playing right now, and they are playing amazing, they have shot up the Hollinger Power Rankings if you haven's seen, i don't think they can win much with this team. Ultimately teams will shorten their rotation in the playoffs, and the elite teams still will have 5 better players on the court than the Nuggets. So I hope they have the foresight to make some to move some of these assets and get real help in return.

I've always said Melo was an overhyped player. Being exposed now.
