Has lock down defender written all over him.

If he gets some sort of offensive game he will be a hell of a role player

Will probably be gone by the time the Spurs pick, but I wouldn't mind Spurs moving up to get him.

His game has a lot of similarities to Shawn Marion, minus the goofy shot. He's the best SF for the Spuers in the draft.

He'll be gone.

He probably will be gone, but I sure hope he's not. Not that the Spurs need to invest in another swing player, but if there is one SF prospect that I hope is available when the Spurs pick - it's Singleton.

This guy's a top 20 pick in this draft. He'll be gone.

Would love him to be on board when Spurs draft - right now I have seen him listed 19-24 on most mock drafts.

A injury or bad workout or two may cause him to drop but if he stays in that range then at least a possibility to move up in a small trade

If the Spurs can somehow get this guy the defense would improve tremendously overnight. He can guard any position on the court and shut them down. I'm more of a college basketball fan than NBA and this one of the best defenders I have ever seen come out of the collegiate ranks. He will probably go to early for the Spurs to pick up, but the spurs have definitely been luckier. If there is one guy the Spurs should trade up for in this draft he is the one.

This should be the #1 priority

Shit maybe we could throw in Dejuan blair with our 1st pick to get him?

take the long 3, allow him to develop or be a volume scorer, see what he can do

could he be the next tmac, granger, dorel wright or someshit...

I would even suggest he'd be worth the Spurs moving up in the draft to go get this guy. He's just that good of a defender.

Singleton is top 20 in every mock draft out there...As much as I agree that he would be great for the spurs, top 20 material in draft = too high for the spurs..

Spurs would have to give up 2011 and 2012 first rounder to move up 10-15 spots to get him. Just my guess.

Chris Singleton just awesome in 3-on-3. I could see both Charlotte and Utah taking a long look in the lottery.

Yeah. He seems like a long shot now...

Much like Paul George last year.

He was always a long shot from the time he entered the draft..Now he's done us all a favor and moved up into the lottery and now we can quite talking about him.

Oh well, another one that's out of reach.

The Spurs will not get a decent draft position until after the Duncan era.

I can see the spurs looking to move up to get this guy if we get a vet big in the off season. He can come in and play 2 or 3 spot and would make us a much better defensive team.

Seriously, you think this guy can play the 2 guard...:lol

Do you watch basketball? Yes he handles the ball well, she shoots well, a great passer, and he defended 2,3 and 4's at FSU.

I dont see him being a sg due to his size teams will likely play him at sf, but yes he can play the 2 for sure.

I think you have a man crush on me, you debate everything I post, its ok to disagree but when you watch as much tape on players as I do you know what they can and cant do.

He has deep range, and a post game, he can get to the rim, he can back guys down and create. He reminds me of Steve Smith who played pg....not gonna be the shooter Smith was but can do everything else.

I disagree with you cause of stupid shit like this...

You are a goon, be glad your Mavs are in the WCF and stay off this board. You have never even seen Singlton play, you just read Chris Ford and shit out what he has to say as your first hand knowledge.

You would likely say Lamar O couldnt play SG, or KD, or Diaw- which was what he was drafted to play yet ended up being a PF.

Please post no more...

:lmao, So you have compared to Ryan Richards to Chris Bosh and now you compare Singleton to Odom,KD, and Diaw :lmao...please keep this shit coming cause we need some humor around here..Your so lost you even think I am mavs fan :lmao.

This would be the steal of the draft if he fell to #29. He'd fit in well with the Spurs and maybe even a starter over Jefferson. Duncan, Splitter, Singleton would be a sick frontline.

I cannot even dream that big - but please God make it so. :greedy

With all seriousness, how good can he really be on defense in the pros?

The next Bowen or at least somewhere in that neighborhood?

I only ask because I just got finished watching LeBron James brutally shred through another poor victim on his way to his first ring. From now on, to win a title means you have to stop James and/or Wade.

I keep seeing rave reviews about Singleton and his defense so, just out of curiousity, could Singleton be such a lockdown defender that, with his quickness and 6'9 225 frame, he can at least severely slow down James and/or Wade. If so, then the Spurs need whatever means possible to draft Singleton in order to even have a small chance to win the title. If not, then forget it.

Just as good if not better then Mbah moute who gets raved about around these boards. If he can work on his offensive game he could be another Gerald Wallace/Trevor Ariza type guy.

No chance he makes it to 29 though, probably wont make it past 15 tbh.

Well if not the Spurs, I just hope he can land on some playoff team not named the Lakers or Heat.

He doesn't have the offensive skills of Wallace, terrible handles, inconsistent jumper, no post game. Great defender, will go in teens most likely

i wonder if his any better then the long 3s we drafted over the years like gist or that georgian player

Smith has a lot more skill than Singleton (ball handles and post move not to meantion more athletic)

Best Case: Trevor Ariza (could be a little better defender than Ariza is, hopefully won't jack up 3s like Ariza does)
Worst Case: Corey Brewer
Most Likely: Luc Mbah A Moute (slightly better defense than him)

best case is definitely Gerald Wallace IMO.
worst case: James Gist.

I've been thinking of him as a trade target.

He's out until November with a broken foot. And has been a severe disappointment. And of course has a reputation for limited intelligence.

But he matches salaries with Nando . . . so maybe he could be remade into a useful player.

And I wanted this guy over Leonard :lmao

Wouldn't be a bad backup if he was bought out or released though

I wanted him as a target in that draft also, and did research on him at that. But because Leonard was expected to be a top-10 pick, I never bothered looking at him while dreaming that the Spurs could move into the teens with a Hill trade.

The Wiz must still have some plans for him. They had a chance to cut him loose in the Okafor trade to clear roster spots for the 3 for 1 trade, and didn't do it.

Singleton opted out of his contract with his Greek team. Shot 46 percent from 3 this year. Said to be interested in returning to the NBA. He led his team in scoring, rebounds, blocks and steals. Called European Draymond Green. Plays the 5 for Panthikos, but defends all 5 positions.
