I would love to see this guy drop to the Spurs...

He is a play-maker and offensive mismatch waiting to happen.

me too,was ranked the 5th best prospect out of high school, he's 6'8 only 18 years old, can score in many different ways, very smart player, and feel for the game, and has the tools to be a great defender. The only thing they say is that he has a good jumpshot but doesn't really get off the ground when he jumps, and shys away from contact when driving in for tear drop except for layups, or dunk, pretty sure he would learn these flaws after a while and gets a little stronger .

He is projected to go around our pick, on many mock draft sites, so I can see the Spurs getting him unless guys start dropping out of the draft, or he decides to go back to school( they're saying if he knows he's not going to be a lottery pick that he will go back to school).

He would be a great future pick, he is the most NBA ready out of all the SF prospects, but a year in the d league can help out some of his few correctable flaws.

I have to say no. We don't need another 6'8" PF. Plus Pop eats guys like this for breakfast. Too young for one thing. TP was the exception to the rule, he played pro league for a few years despite his young age. First sign of laziness, etc and this kid is in Pops dog house for a year or two. Ideally, the FO would probably want him to sign overseas for about 4 years to mature and develop his game. So why draft him? He obviously doesn't want to do that if he's entering the draft now? I'd cross this one off the short list.

He plays power forward in tennesee, he would most likely be the back up small forward. The only thing about him is that he is not big enough to guard power forwards, or quick enough to guard small forwards that's the only reason I feel he is not a lottery pick, and also doesn't have great athletcism, but I feel its more that he looks sorta more fat, then athletic, and has no lift on his jumpshit but trust me this is a guy who needs a year or two develop, but if he gets stronger, and works on his lift on his jump shot then he will be a good player in this league.

4 years overseas to develop a first round talent? Are you nuts?

If this kid cannot play the 3 in the NBA then in no way does he belong in a spurs uni.

His dad was Gervin's agent. I read somewhere that Harris spend time in San Antonio working out with Gervin.

Danny playfully doesn't want him drafted because that'll take a spot away from him.

This kid has some pretty big upside. I woulnt mind trading Blair to move up for him.

Guy is not skilled enough to play sf, he could be a david west type, He is very slow, plays under the Rim, did not messure well, Im not a fan of his. Richards is likely to be our SF of the future anyway, or Anderson.

Richards a future SF ????????????

This.

Has there ever been a 7-1 SF in the NBA?
Anderson at 6-5 is not much better. Richards is a PF or center, Anderson is a pure SG although Pop did try him at SF.

I believe thats what he wants to play, and I can certainly say he has the skill set for it. Hey Odom is 6-10, KD 6-10 Tony K with Chi back in the 90's 6-11. Dirk could still play the 3.

Richards has a very rare skill set. I have never seen a big man shoot off the bounce like he can from 3pt range. He has a nice cross over, not the passer Odom is but I can see him starting his career as a SF.

Spurs will most likely use him as a 4.

All of those guys, with the exception of Durant, are/were defensive liabilities.

Defining guys' positions depends on your frame of reference - offense or defense. Most players are defined by the defensive position they play when, in actually, height/size doesn't always folllow suit.

Dirk Nowitzki isn't a PF, he's really more of a SG / SF combo in the his style of game dictates this (but he plays PF on defense due to his size). Guys like Monte Ellis, Stephen Curry, George Hill, etc. are really SGs in PG sized bodies.

From what I've seen of Richards, he's a PF on defense and somewhat of a tweener (SF/PF) offensive type game (kinda like a poor man's Lamar Odom).

SLAM: What teams have you worked out for so far?
TH: I’ve worked out for a lot of teams. The Spurs, Kings, Rockets, the Indiana Pacers, the Charlotte Bobcats, the Nuggets. It’s been a lot of teams. They’ve gone well though.

another projected #15-20 player, who worked out for the Spurs. they are working on something. (can anyone else see Blair going to Charlotte for the #19 pick?)

I wish but the only way I see them interested in trading is if they get Leonard or Singleton with the 9th pick, but I think they will try to get a big man in the draft ,but if there all taken I think they would be interested in Blair. I'm more of a fan of Singleton he looked great in the combine, and his shot looks alot better.

Blair wouldn't be enough to get their #9 pick. if Spurs wanted that pick, they will need to offer a package like Blair and Hill and the #29 pick. but I can't see them sacrifice two of their young players.

btw. I'm not sure that a pick like #18 - #20 will be good enough to get him, I think he is somehow underrated by the mocks. there will be a lottery team that falls in love with what he offers. most use the tweener argument and doubt his quickness. what I can't understand is, why there are no Loul Deng comparisons.
Harris is more athletic than Deng was back then at 19 and he has still some room in this department. he can definitely become a "big" SF in the Deng mold.
that's why I think a team like for example the Suns at #13 will pick him late lottery.

I thought he was only going to be an allstar definitely, and that he didn't expect to go #1. :lol

imagine Harris didn't have to play alongside a me first player like Hopson and with a somehow serious PG. his freshman season might have been even more impressive.
