Wolves 97
Lakers 102

Typical Laker regular season home game against bad team. Wolves squander a chance to tie game at 100 with seconds remaining and then Kobe makes 2 free throws to seal the deal.

Friday night home games against bad teams are always ugly as fuck. Lakers on the road are better. The staples center crowd puts the team to sleep.

Lakers will pick up the intensity for a good 4 or 5 minutes
and that should be enough to put em away

It's not 1 0n 1 TBH ... in fact, Shannon Brown caused most of the recent damage trying to shoot gaps and gamble for steals ...
But kobe has given up some of it too ...Kobe leaving him open to help or "watch" and WEs making him pay ...

Forearm/elbow type shiver to BEasley's chest and he was off balance driving to the hoop ....

Can someone describe that Bynum flagrant foul... My stupid game link passed away.

Beasley drives past Barnes down the baseline, goes up for two handed shot around the basket as Bynum comes across the paint to challenge. Instead of going up for the ball, Bynum only attempts (and connects) a forearm check square to Beasley in the chest. Beasley comes down understandably awkward on his side.

The only solace from it is Bynum didn't catch him square with the elbow, though he very well could have. The elbow was definitely in the neighborhood.

Killakobe81
03-18-2011, 11:45 PM
Dumb shot kobe ...dumber foul artest. Kobe & Ron offensively have their fingerprints all over our poor shooting tonight.

Killakobe81
03-18-2011, 11:47 PM
One thing about the foul. Dirty definitely. But one of my main issues with Bynum the past few seasons is that he allowed so many AND 1 lay-ups. SO I wanted him to give harder fouls so good to see the aggression but that shit was dirt and I dont blame Beasley for wanting to fight Drew afterwards ...

Of course they are. Young teams like the Wolves always end up beating themselves, no matter how close they get at the end. You should know, they've done it against the Spurs a couple times this season.

Thats Lamars spot for 3. If he dribbles there, he's pulling.

Ridnour sucks. He only looks good against us. But Flyn looks like he has lost confidence in his game ...
Ridnour has pretty much choked away 3 games against the spurs and two other home games I have seen ...because he failed to execute their offense late in games. Blake is better and Blake has sucked most of the year ...

As for Kobe i know he is hurt we ALL know it. But dont shoot yourself out of it ... take it easy until the ankle heals. If you play you cant use injuries as an excuse. you get props for being a warrior but you dont get EXCUSED for poor shooting and credit for playing through injuries as well ...

I think the guys who've posted here have said Joel is good. The Lakers board is huge, so you'll find a huge number of people who complain about everything.

Stu can be a homer, but he gives a fair amount of respect to other guys. He's probably one of the better guys, but he has his moments as you've highlighted. He'll be homerish on Kobe, but he calls out the Lakers guys a fair amount. He's no Sean Ell_iot.

It was petty...but like I said he's just a kid so he'll learn from it. Not only was it a stupid foul, but the game was very much in doubt at that point and his absence could've cost us--especially since he was the only Laker other than LO grabbing boards. I'm sure Phil read him the riot act.

That foul appeared to be a "shut you up" hack in reaction to trash talking. Last night's game wrap indicated that Artest and Beasley were yapping at each other all night. I'm guessing the Lakers as a whole were sick of hearing Beas which would explain Odom's and Barnes' posture after Beasley hit the floor. They didn't look too sorry he went down, did they? :lol

Not justifying the foul, just explaining it. It was a dirty play and Bynum deserves at least a 1-game unpaid vacation for it.

:lol

The bench wants to throw down all the time tbh. Odom doesnt back down, Barnes doesnt back down, Chris Brown doesnt back down & that little whiteboy Blake always goes at it with bigs for some reason :lol.

Bynum's hit list is growing:

Shaq (2006-2007 season) - gave him a forearm shiver (didn't budge his fatass though) after dunking on his ass
LBJ (2007-2008 season) - not flagrant 2, but he knocked him on his ass for barrelling through the lane. LBJ got up, glared at him, but didn't do shit because he knows what's up :lol
Crash (2008-2009 season) - collapsed lungGreg Oden (2008-2009 season) - ended Greg's season
Kendra Porkins (2009-2010 season) - ended Celtics' title hopes and his season
Beasley (2010-2011 season) - probably will miss a few games or so - unless he hits the chronic

I looked at the vid of the Beasley play. He will get a few games off via suspension no doubt and I'm ok with that. He was already averaging over 2 bpg since the ASB. The above hard fouls will only add to the Lakers' intimidation and sends a crystal clear message to the league: don't come in the lane. He's already deterred many shot attempts at the rim because many players were worried about getting their shots swatted. Now players will be lining up to take out extra 1-game insurance policies when they play the Lakers. :lol

That was the one...the one where Media thought they had it for all time. Daddy taking Bynum and showing him where the bear shit in the buckwheat.

Uh, uh.

Media didn't have to home after Bynum made Daddy immediately sorry, but, they had to get the Hell out a there.
