I am looking to buy a computer. Was looking at laptops but I found out that I can buy way faster desktops around the same price range. My budget is preferably under 700. I would like the following:

-Preferably i7 but I can live with i5 or the phenom line
-Preferably quad core with an average 2ghz but dual core is okay :depressed
-Preferably 4 gig ddr3 but 2 or 3 is fine :(
-A decent video card and hard drive
-OS is not a problem for me

I don't mind attempting to build one but taking the safer route for now

With all that said, I found this

Opinions?

What are you going to use it for?

I am looking to game, do work and pretty much everything a 20 year old student does. I would like something between average and top of the line so it doesn't have to go through upgrades. A laptop is hard to upgrade, that video card in the link above is serviceable and can be upgraded anytime

Uh.... the computer you posted is barebones. The video card is integrated. Go for it if you want your games to be on a slideshow.

If you want to game for 700 you should just forget laptops.
