Yup

And China Latina is probably just as good as the aforementoined ones, but it's a bit cheaper which is also a bonus.

thai taste is great, except for one thing... the roaches and other shit that causes them to get failing scores and give you the runs.. i have eaten there twice, loved it both times, but got sick both times.. then i see them on trouble shooters! never again!

and chinese food to me is like mexican food. you should never pay a lot for it.

:td

We didn't like PeiWei at all. My husband was very disappointd that they put red bell peppers in their fried rice.

However, I heart PF Changs....but...my parents have said that the one by their house in CA has lately been getting a :td from them. The chicken dish they usually order had the skin left on it this time.

Though same ownership, it's disgusting food compared to PF Chang's IMO. The dishes are different and not good quality in my opinion. They flood the "meat" dishes with too many vegetables.

Asia Kitchen. Best Pad Thai (SP) in town IMHO. Very good soups too.

I don't go to chinese restaurants unless they are buffetts. I dunno why, I just don't.

MannyIsGod

I don't really like buffets. The food is way lower quality than good chinese. Also, good chinese places usually give you more than enough either way.

However, the Golden Wok on Marbach does a buffett on Sunday during lunch that is pretty bad ass.

I haven't been there in about 7 or 8 years, but Hung Fong on Broad used to be off the chain.

Mr Panda is still ok for a buffet.

I stay away from the Tex-Mex / Chinese ....

Really the best mom and pop oriental joints are next to the bases... But that's a lot of thai and korean. :)

I love Golden Wok.. Both the one on Marbach witht he fish pond indoors and the one on Wurzbach with the fish pong outside and the stir fry buffet.

Also, have any of you been to or heard of Wok Inn off of Grissom?

That place is awesome. Hole in the wall, nice set up, all you can eat soup (three different kind), also, all the wonton chips you want.

Great lunch prices.

Golden Phoenix works for me...and if you order a beer there and the owner happens to notice he'll offer you a Tsing Tao on the house to try it. Ain't bad for a free beer!

It's not gourmet, but it's good for the price: there's a little hole in the wall place on Walzem across from what used to be Albertson's called Orient Express. We usually chow down there when we're back in the old neighborhood.

Since I haven't had a decent take me out lately I've been dining on some fine Oriental cuisine using La Choy products.

Hey, I live off Walzem and that place has been there forever it seems. I've never tried it, but it obviously does well. What's good there?

Do any Chinese restaurants still have take-out in those famous boxes? http://imagescommerce.bcentral.com/merchantfiles/4370239/TakeoutPinkthumb.jpg

It just ain't Chinese take-out when it comes in a styro-foam container.

China Rose does. Food's not bad for being fast-foodish. A lot better than most mall chinese places.
