RandomLie is not to far off. Most local film makers offer free experience and your name on the credits. You can use that as a video resume for future work.

But the film makers links I give out are some of the best in San Antonio

Sam Lerma,Johnny Luna,Ralph Lopez,etc....and most of them pay cash. 40-80- to a 100 a day depending how many days they need you and if you speak in the film.
I do it as a hobby and I am really into script writing, the filming part, what lens to use,how many mics you need...I leave that to the collage kids.

There are many script wring companies that will read what you have to see if its any good and if you can sell it. As much time as myself and many of you spend posting online we could have written 25 scripts each.

I find film producing challenging and exciting and I recommend everyone make at least one film in his or her lifetime.
