Neither team deserved to win. Derrick Williams had a retarded attempt with 12 seconds left, and regardless of whether or not it was 5 seconds, Texas looked completely mindfucked with that full court press. The difference was Derrick Williams being the best player on the court and putting the team on his back like Greg Jennings.

It looked like the ref called it at around 4.5-5 seconds, when the player had begun motioning for the timeout. Even if he called it a half-second early (don't know if he did or not), the player was motioning and wasn't going to get the ball inbounded. I would be annoyed if it happened to my team, but it really wouldn't have made a difference anyway.

Observations from someone who is a fan of neither team:

1) Texas fought hard to get back in it and if they had played the first half the same way they played the second, it wouldn't have even been close.

2) The 5 second call was utter bullshit. I've seen some go 6-7 secs and still get the timeout call instead of the 5 second. That was under 5 and still got called.

3) The and-1 wasn't really a foul but I can see calling it. It was one of those 50/50 where maybe they call a charge sometimes, maybe they call a block sometimes, and sometimes it just goes uncalled. Can't really complain about it either way, and Texas should have been playing better defense on that series anyway.

4) Brown took forever to get the ball down the court after the free throw. He should have been running his ass off to maybe get 2 shots if his missed.

5) Brown was probably fouled on the shot attempt. If they were gonna be calling fouls for Arizona on the other end, they should have called that one. But again, I can see reasons for not calling it.

6) The guy who got the rebound for Texas(I think it was Hamilton? Could be wrong) should have went for the tip instead of the rebound. That being said, he was for sure fouled on the rebound and should have been at the line.

Bottom line, Texas sorta got screwed there, but it wasn't the worst I've seen, and they could have easily prevented it.
