Triple Crown Question

Does anybody know in order to win the Triple Crown do you have to lead the league in the 3 categories, i.e. AL or NL, or the majors?

just the NL or AL, so there could potentially be 2 triple crown winners in 1 year, happened once in hitting and three times in pitching.
in hitting it is avgerage, home runs, and rbi's
in pitching it is wins, era, and strikeouts
nobody has won a hitting triple crown since 1967
recent pitchers that have won it are randy johnson and pedro martinez, once each and roger clemens has gotten it twice. :smokin
