Spurs will win the rest of the games of the regular season.

Sorry for starting threads, but I feel vindicated. I've been saying how stupid this coach is for years, and this is exactly the kind of shit he does. I can name at least three other times he's done stuff like this just off the top of my head and it's backfired, not even counting the playoff choke that he engineered in '06. I'm praying that Parker calls out Pop for this shit. I'd rather see the Spurs fall apart right now than go into the postseason with a coach that thinks this game is somehow not his fault.

No wonder I've been eager to pop my head in here every day this season, rarely have there been any emo days like today. I'm not personally concerned for the team, but some of these thread starters need to be kept away from sharp objects until Timmy comes back.

I put part of the blame on Pop, but he didnt turn the ball over with 35 seconds left in the game with a 4 point lead when you basically have to hold it....TP! And with a 2 point lead you dont even get a shot off and turn it over with 7 seconds left...Manu! TP and Manu were absolute dog shit in crunch time today...WTF.

its funny to see meltdowns. especially with the fans answers for solutions. people hating on pop. i even remember some laker fans who wanted phil jackson fired once and them to hire ben howland. 10 time champ for a college coach. yup

It could very realistically happen now. We have to play Portland again at home on a goddamn back to back after what could most definitely be another loss at Memphis.... and then after that we get goddamn Boston.

This game was not a textbook meltdown. This game was a YMCA meltdown. Losing the ball off of your foot, getting the ball taken right out of your hands in the backcourt without any real pressure.

This place does look like a god damn New York Knicks forum after a loss but this one was so shitty it was special.

Imo Parker's 8 turnovers and overall lackadaisical effort is mostly to be blamed. Andre Miller and the Blazers consistently show why Tony Parker wasn't much of an all star candidate this season :bang

yes and im glad i didn't doubt you guys this year, i learned my lesson. im glad the spurs our struggling (it had to happen sometime) at least tiagos playing ball, and getting in basketball shape/14 boards the other night playing post defense. instead of bonner carrying the spurs haha

if splitter gets big minutes off the bench when timmy gets back i expect the spurs to be as tough as their record says. BUT if bonner is played like before we'll have an early exit because of pop's stubbornness :bang

You're a complete and total DUMBFUCK. Did Greg Popovich get picked clean by Andre? Did Greg Popovich dribble the ball off of Wes Matthews' leg? We were up four with the ball and 30 seconds in the game.

Manu made one big mistake, and it was costly. Tony's entire game was a giant rolling mistake. He made some high degree of difficulty shots, but still shot only 7-17. He had more turnovers (8) than FG makes. Horrible.

15 loses ain't bad at all....anyways spurs should be 59-13 right but turnovers and mistakes just kill this team....spurs just gave away free gifts to denver and portland...If denever and portland are really good they would of blow the spurs out of the water but they didn't...they barley beat the spurs and without timmy d....just imagine if timmyd was in the spurs line-up...spurs would blowout denver and portland by atleast 20 pts....

I'm with Kori, the meltdowns are hilarious. So we lost a couple of close games, so what? This team has proven its character and quality throughout the season, and everything changes the day the playoffs begin.

I fully expect us to lose game 1 of the first round, as we often do in Championship years, then for the team to crank up the intensity two gears after that.

There are no certainties in life, and the NBA is wide-open for about 5 teams to win this season, but we are certainly one of those teams. Let's enjoy the ride. :D

Manu made one big mistake, and it was costly. Tony's entire game was a giant rolling mistake. He made some high degree of difficulty shots, but still shot only 7-17. He had more turnovers (8) than FG makes. Horrible.

I could tell that Tony was setting up for that top of the key jumper that he took late in the 4th quarter before he took it. That was a terrible shot and I knew that if he took it that it could cost us as I haven't seen him make hardly any this season from straight on just inside the 3 point line.

He made tons of stupid errors, but he has still been either our best player or second best most consistent player all season. Simply just a really, really shit game from TP.
