Why is everyone so big on unloading Rasho this summer? He's is a good backup center. I know he makes too much $$ for the #s he produces, but what happens if Nazr goes down? Who then? Rasho is a VERY nice insurance policy. I doubt he gets shipped, especially for a guard like some of these threads would indicate.

The Rasho talk will prolly slow down once he helps contain Shaq (if MIA makes it) in the Finals.

Or maybe it will just make him more attractive to other teams. :)

because the spurs do not pay big money for players to play a 12 man role

unless they have an expiring contract (steve smith)

Well...if Pop did try to trade Rasho it should be much easier than trading Malik was.

Rasho isnt bad for a big man...and though he makes a lot..there are many worse big men out there that make a lot more then him.

Getting the capspace back would be nice so that we can continue to bring in players like Scola and shark boy.

But not trading him has its advantages too...so either way we are in a good spot right now.

All trade talk is premature until we know these things:

1) The new CBA rules and salary cap.

2) Who starts after training camp.

3) Nazr is signed to an extension.

It's going to be awhile before all three are known. You know if we wanted to just get rid of him, Cleveland is looking for a defensive center. Wouldn't have to match salaries either.
either way we are in a good spot right now.So true.

My only problem is that he makes too much cashhh. But if he sticks around he'll get more playing time during the reg season. Right now it's horry time. You will also see rasho playing against shaq in the finals if wade is healthy.

would you take big zNo, he's probably require more money and can't defend as well as Nazr much less Rasho. Cleveland might sign & trade Z but getting the center they want for him might prove difficult.

Not to mention all your cash is riding on his left foot.
