Haven't heard anything other than he has a quad contusion.

Probably a game-time decision. He was going to get it treated overnight and probably tomorrow as well...

meh, if he cant hurt it any further than he should play. Pretty big game.

knowing Pop hes probably out until the BOS game....

Manu usually plays horribly when hes injured though....

Contused Ginobili uncertain for Portland game (http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/03/27/contused-ginobili-uncertain-for-portland-game/)
Jeff McDonald

... Hobbling out of Memphis, however, he didn’t look like an NBA player less than 24 hours from his next game.

...Leaving the arena Sunday, Ginobili was hoping — perhaps against hope — that compression machines would provide adequate healing powers to allow him to play against Portland.

as noted in the blog, Manu didn't look so hot leaving arena. I'm no doctor, but hard to see him playing vs. POR.

Great. Make that 4 close losses in a row while Splitter wears his warm-ups

If he's not 100%, I wouldn't play him. Let him sit and heal for a couple of games.

Spurs will make playoffs and we need 2 of the big 3 to be healthy for a chance.

Rest him.. fragile time since we need to absolutely secure home court but confident that our bench steps up.

I'd be very surprised if Manu plays, given Pop's past precautions.

It's going to be a painful game and 4th straight loss to peaking playoffs opponents, while the Spurs crater. The season record is looking more and more like Mavs-style fool's gold.

We're seeing these injuries and these 4th quarter melt-downs because the team's is exhausted and (I hate to say it) disoriented by tinkering Pop should have finished with before the AS break.

Pop needs to concede this Blazers game, DNPCD the starters, and give the bench some time to work on their defense.

He shouldn't play. HCA is fool's gold if we don't have our big 3 healthy... no need to risk it.

i'm conceding tonight and hoping we get manu back for the celtics and timmy back for the rockets.

we have to win against the following:

Wrongo magic # is 6 for HCA scratch Celts from that list.

As far as next couple games, would like to see JA play and Splitter crunch time mins.

You could tell that Manu, Tony, and even Hill ran out of gass last night and just didn't have anything to give. I don't care if we loose the next one but Manu is probably just as important as David in needing him to have fresh legs during the playoffs.

Parker picks up the slack, Splitter and Blair get Aldridge into foul trouble, and George Hill goes off. Spurs win comfortably, time to turn the ship around (Leia knows where Luke is) and it starts tonight.

Who do you guys think starts tonight? Hill Neal or maybe even JA?

With Manu out, everybody else will step up

Tony Parker 35, Hill 17, Neal 15

It'll happen. Trust me.

I sure hope so. The Blazers are a deep team at the guard/small-forward slots with Miller, Batum, Roy, Wallace, Matthews, and Fernandez. With Manu out, that leaves the Spurs to counter with TP, Hill, Neal, RJ, and maybe Anderson? TP and Hill are going to have to play 35+ minutes and have huge games in order for the Spurs to pull this one out tonight....

I know this won't happen...

but I really wish that TP was rested along with Manu...

TP is looking a little gassed lately and I think he needs a break....
