Health vs. HCA.

This seems to be the prevailing theme coming down the stretch, whereas last week it looked like we would have our cake and eat it too. Tim and Manu have nagging injuries that need rest, but HCA is slipping from our grasp. Should Pop and Co. rush them back, or should they bite the bullet, get them (as) healthy as they can before the playoffs, and face the possibility of going on the road in both the WCF and the NBA Finals?

Fortunately the Spurs won't have to make a decision on that until the final two games of the season when they travel to L.A. and Phoenix. The Spurs have 5 of their next 7 at home, with the two road games at Houston and Atlanta. I think the Spurs will win five of those and have their cake and eat it too.

Can we win it all with HCA? I'm having doubts with Tim hurt, Parker looking like dead meat in late game situations, Manu hurt/struggling, and with the coaching staff's poor lineup choices imo

I don't even know if we can win it all WITH HCA let alone no HCA.

It doesn't really matter. The Spurs won't win the title regardless.

No way. It's our only shot against the Lakers.

Not to mention an undersized and inferior frontline, whose best player (Duncan) is hobbled.

The HCA is nice but the Lakers already showed they can win in SA. If the Spurs are playing to full potential they can win it all. Right now they are nowhere near that..

yaw its fucking ova wit...if we dont have homecourt then we might as well not even waste our time and start scouting players and have our players get an early start to the offseason so they could get better...

This rash of injuries sent us into a tailspin that is taking us out of 1st. Unless someone else knocks out the Lakers we're fucked.

With the current rotations, not sure if the Spurs can even with HCA

Ye of little faith. We will have hca throughout and it will help, but we've won championships without it.

This is my opinion, unfortunately. Earlier in the season, I definitely would have said, screw HCA we're a lock given our road record. But we've started to run out of steam and the injuries have finally caught up as we knew they must eventually. It is sad to say but my confidence in the team is dwindling. It's hard to imagine that just a few months ago people were seriously talking about this team as if it could equal regular season record of the '95-'96 Bulls. We're good, but we're nowhere near that good.

All we need is a 10 day Horry contract vs the Lakers... BAM Kobe is in the 2nd row and the bench clears... Game Spurs. We now have HCA.
