In recent months, consumers across the nation are being scammed by fraudulent ticket dealers causing confusion and disappointment for concertgoers and sports fans alike. With the NBA Finals approaching and an awesome summer concert line-up, Spurs Sports & Entertainment wants to make sure that fans have an enjoyable time at the SBC Center.

“We want our customers to be careful when purchasing tickets to any of our SBC Center events,” said Joe Clark, vice president of sales for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. “We’ve seen a dangerous trend arise in fraudulent tickets from third party ticket agencies, particularly those agencies that are internet based.”

For events held at the SBC Center, Clark commented the safest way for consumers to buy tickets is only from authorized ticket dealers such as the SBC Center Box Office, Ticketmaster locations, spurs.com, ticketmaster.com or Charge by Phone at (210) 225-TEAM.

For more information on purchasing tickets for a SBC Center event contact the Box Office at (210) 444-5000.

The SBC Center celebrated its grand opening on November 1, 2002 upholding its promise to offer a variety of creative entertainment to San Antonio and South Texas. The SBC Center, which is now in its third year of operation, has welcomed over 3.4 million guests, hosted over 356 diverse events and experienced significant milestones including an NBA Championship, WNBA Silver Stars inaugural season, concerts and family shows.
