From The Daily Six Shooter (http://bit.ly/gdX94m) at PlaymakerOnline.com (http://www.playmakeronline.com/):
Somebody needs to smack some sense into Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander who, according to The Houston Chronicle (http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/7495241.html), is still on the fence about whether to bring head coach Rick Adelman back.
Are you kidding me? GM Daryl Morey made trades at the deadline that made the team look like they were bound for the lottery with pieces that were supposed to either develop slowly or be used in the short term as trade chips. Adelman should be an NBA Coach of the Year candidate for turning this team around and putting them on the brink of the playoffs.
As of right now, they’re only two games back of the Memphis Grizzlies for the 8th spot in the playoffs and only three games back of the New Orleans Hornets who have a really tough schedule left including a game against Houston that could determine who gets that last playoff spot. Even if Houston misses out on the playoffs, they’ll be among the teams people expect to get to the postseason next year… unless they don’t bring back Adelman next year because no elite coach is waiting for the chance to go to Houston.
