Maybe if I close my eyes, cover my ears, and stomp my feet, all of the Spurs troubles will just go away?

All winnable games. I'm with you! :tu

Spurs get the 1 seed by 2 games. Book it.

Pretty easy schedule...only guaranteed loss is against the lakers...pop will probably rest players that game. Spurs lose 2 but still win #1 seed. Doesn't matter Lakers aren't being beat

Meh, if this is the rotation, I think I'd rather they keep losing.

I agree with this thread, the Spurs will finish on a 7 game winning streak, and go into the playoffs hot and confident and win out.

That said, I think more like 5-2 and still get the #1 seed.

Spurs win the next 5, clinch the #1 seed, and then lose the last two.

I agree. This thing will turn. On the championship DVD it'll be interesting to see how they summarize this slump.

Spurs win the next 5, clinch the #1 seed, and then lose the last two.

2 things we need:

1. Win next 5 games.

I'm not saying that's what's gonna happen, but I do believe that's what has to happen to give us the best shot entering the playoffs. Settles homecourt issue before the Laker game. Allows vets to be benched for the last two and heal up. Makes Lakers, Suns, and travel irrelevant for the homecourt outcome. Gotta win the next 5 in a row starting tonight.

2. Need Lakers to lose 1 of their next 6 for that to work.

If those two things happen, homecourt is a done deal before the Laker game, and all of this was a bump in the road.

If we go into the laker game having won the last five then I'd say we have a chance to win in LA, albeit an outside chance. If we don't win the preceding five, I'd say our chances of beating LA are slim to none. If it ends up that the LA game decides HCA, we will lose it

On the championship DVD it'll be interesting to see how they summarize this slump.

How about slow-motion shots of Manu, Duncan and TP turning their heads in frustration as balls slip away from them out of bounds.

And then a deep slow voice over (with that authoritative hint of a patrician accent) saying, "But the Spurs were not done yet."

5 and 2 is the best that will happen. The Titanic had a better chance of getting past the iceberg than this ship has of going 7 and 0 with Pop as the captain right now.

Geez, Doc, one good loss to the Celtics and you're rollin' over on your team.

ha, ha.

The loss to the Celtics would be totally fine and acceptable if the Spurs's rotations made any plausible sense = the coaching has been getting consistently bad x weeks, and it is killing a fine team.

Popovich might deserve a pass by some but he is single handily ruining a magic season with his strange love of Bonner and Blair, and worse together.

Lakers fans get frustrated with Jackson at times but he does ride the hot hand and now the Lakers have the more stable and better lineup going forward by far. Meanwhile, the Spurs could close the gap by employing any of three lineups beside what is being trotted out night after night despite strong play by some and an increasing pattern inept play by Bonner and Blair.

Perhaps he really wants the 2nd seed, as pathetic as the Mavs look might well be the best option right now if Pop does not piss away the first round as well.
