The sense of urgency from the Spurs is palpable. Playoff-mode defense, imo.
Good stuff :toast

Im glad they are rising to the occasion. I was painful watching them so out of sync the last 5 games. Seems the train is back on the track. Lock down D! Go Spurs Go.

Meh, at least they started playing like shit before the playoffs so that us fans are getting nice and prepared for a disappointing post season.

This Spurs team is pissed. They're not gonna throw this game away.

The Spurs will still win this game imo...Rockets were just chucking 3's and they happened to go in. It's eerily reminiscent of another team's style, but I digress...

tbh I've been selling the fool's gold line around here for months now...it's a fact.

These Spurs can't be bothered any more to close out on shooters or fight over screens or box out ferociously.
Those things are hard and really, they're for lesser teams. And, after all, they've won 57 games already for crissakes.
What else are they supposed to do?

I wish I had a good argument, but this team has been living and dying by the three all season.
They better hope for the shooting streak of their lives once playoffs come.

This is true. He was spamming the Spurs' forum with that fools gold pic like 30 times a day a couple months back.

Fail...I honestly thought tim would've iced it at the FT line in regulation.
How the mighty have fallen...

Absolutely the worst poise of any Spurs team in decades. This is absolutely ridiculous now. Two games in 5 with turnovers at halfcourt up 3 and under 30 seconds. The lack of clock sense to know that you have to foul under :30 in overtime.
I have no expectations for this team -- never have had any -- but those sorts of things are indicative of the reasons why having expectations with this bunch is an exercise in basketball masochism.

Yep. There was a moment where Hill could have called a timeout while they were getting ready to make that turnover, but didn't. Games like this one and the Portland game where all you have to do is handle the basketball and let the other team put you on the line are just gut wrenching. It's brutal to watch.

The Spurs have quit in the playoffs at least three different times in the Duncan era. I guess they decided to just get it out of the way early this year.

Beyond defense, what is up with all the late game turnovers?
