So yeah what other team has had the kind of success the Spurs had this year and just gave it all away in a blink of an eye?

This might be the biggest meltdown in the whole NBA history.

Am I wrong?

Spurs are a mockery.

I can't think of many more collapses like this...truly an epic team meltdown.

Nope, this team is a fucking joke now and it's not funny... I am about sick to my stomach over this crap, but hey they blew it and their selves are to blame and NOBODY else! Spurs suck, we bash other teams but this team seriously sucks.

07 Mavs did it in the playoffs...

But yeah, it's pretty bad. At least they're preparing us all for the disappointment that will this year's post season.

This is not a championship team. Spurs were overacheiving all year. Now they're playing like last year.

I was wondering about this as well. Are the Spurs making the wrong kind of history here?

As far as the regular season goes, I don't recall ever seeing a meltdown like this by any other league leader.

It depends on how they finish this year. If they win it all, no one gives a shit that they lost 6 in a row. If they are bounced in the 1st, it was a colossal meltdown.

2007 Mets... but that was baseball, and the 18-1 Patriots :)

The Patriots get more leeway because it all comes down to 1 single game.

Which happens to be the more important one but still, nothing like this.

Last time I remember Spurs melting down this much whas the series way back with Rodman and Robinson line-up against the Hakeem olajuwon's Rockets many years ago.

I've been watching basketball for a long time and this is shaping up to be a pretty big meltdown. They are like Tiger Woods after being exposed as a he whore. :toast

You must have deleted the '01 Lakers series from your memory banks (like I have tried to do).

The 2010 Lakers had a pretty lousy 3-8 finish, but they had bigs and a defense to fall back on.

The things that immediately come to mind in any sport (regular season wise), are the Mets in 2007 and 2008 (I may be wrong with those years), and the Broncos of 2008 and 2009

It only counts if you don't win the last game in June.

But, nonetheless it is a lot of good old fashioned fun.

I'm havin' the time of my life with this.
