Do you guy's think that the Spurs won the titles they have because of Pop or in spite of Pop? quite frankly the job he is doing is baffling to me and is bordering on insanity, to keep pushing Bonner out there when we need defense and to see this game after game, we have players on the bench eager to prove themselves and yet here comes Bonner and Blair...

it's always been about TD/Manu/TP/Bowen.

In spite...rode the coattails of an in-prime Duncan...now that Duncan is showing his age and can't do 30 and 14 anymore...Pop is being exposed for the Don Nelson starter kit he really is.

Not in spite of Pop, but it helps to win when you have the best player in the NBA..

And the best defender in the NBA at the time

Timmy brought the titles. You have to be a retard to think that Pop had a hand in them. Pop prevented Timmy from being the greatest of all-time.

It feels like he is force-feeding Bonner to prove himself right. and those plays at the end obviously the play was for Manu and not the quickest otherwise Tone would have shot ti when he got it. Pathetic coaching and execution.

To quote Pop, maybe he didn't "screw up" those time...

All coaches screw up. Pop's screw-ups just happen to be particularly mind-boggling in light of his otherwise good track record as a coach.

With the 'perfect coach' I'm sure we'd have a couple more titles, but the 'perfect coach' doesn't exist. What actual coach would have gotten more titles? What coach are we going to replace him with? Those are hard questions to answer too, but they don't really make suffering through some of this lunacy any easier.

I think they won them because of Pop. Pop has a great track record of taking low-level talent and making it really work for the team. Look at how good Malik Rose became under Pop. Or Stephen Jackson, who he brought along slowly. What about Hill now? He has become a decent player despite having lots of flaws in his game. He has just bitten off way more than he can chew with the Bonner project, and is too goddamn stubborn to admit it.
