Happy April Fool's joke?
The deadline for signing contracts of players who can make it to the playoffs is long over, right?

Close. The article said he was pushing 375 lb's of dough a few weeks ago. Unless he magically gave up his love of eating stick butter, he'll be around that. Good move by the heat, they need another fatbody to clog up the lane with Dampier. :lol

Whenever the Heat and Celtics face off int he ECF, they ought to remove the jump ball and have he and Shaq sumo eachother out of the middle circle at half court for possession.

I don't think he has played a game for an NBA team, which makes him eligible until the day before the playoffs start, I believe.

Gross. I'd rather have one of the following retired NBA players than Eddy McCurry
PJ Brown
Tom Gugliotta
Clarence Weatherspoon
Laphonso Ellis
Wang ZhiZhi
Popeye Jones
Keon Clark
Dennis Rodman
Ed O'Bannon
Mamadou N'Diaye
Rasheed Wallace
Jelani Mc Coy
Larry Johnson
Brian Grant
We need toughness and hustle not more offense down low. Wade averages more rebound than Curry smh.

quality addition to their squad imho. damp has been their best center all the way through the season, with big Z being the only backup. lack of strength/depth at C explains why they're behind celts, and even the bulls despite having two of the league's best 3. curry didn't achieve big wit NY but hes still a quality C i believe

I really don't understand this move unless it is for insurance. The Heat already have 3 quality centers. Curry is a piece of shit.
