Name a player you would rather have on this team, instead of Richard Jefferson..

Each poster names 1 player at a time..eventually, we'll reach a point where arguments will have to be made..let's see how many players we can name..

I'll start with: Lebron James..

You are better than this. You've been here for the thin times, when the Lakers would knock us out every year. You knew what it was like before DRob and Timmy. Don't tear us down from within. Rise up and build. There'll be time for criticism after the playoffs. If we don't win it all, then we can say who's gotta go and who stays. But right now we back our team and focus on what will put us over the top. Not throw bricks at windows and then complain because it looks ghetto. You are a better fan than this. Back our guys up.

IMO.

B Team

G: Gary Coleman

F: Martin Luther King
F: Otis Nixon
C: Bag of Rocks
6th man: Matt Bonner

G: Dwayne Wade
G: Bruce Bowen
F: Kevin Durant
F: Gerald Wallace
C: Scola (small ball will work OK against Team B)
6th man: Andre Iguodala

If the Spurs did explore trade options for RJ during the offseason, someone that comes to mind is Corey Maggette (who has a similar contract but with 1 year less); I've been reading that he hasn't really worked out with the Bucks.

I think the OP suggesting LeBron James might have been a clue.

I think op wanted to start at the top (lebron), and find out where RJ would be ranked in a superset of all small forwards in the NBA. Where ranking would be decided by the position at which the squabbling was at its loudest.

That would constitue a shocking amount of thought put into a SpursTalk thread. But after looking at it again and some of the OP's other threads, I think you're right.

So I guess the discussion will probably end up somewhere between Otis Nixon and a Bag of Rocks but not drop as far as Matt Bonner.

See, the funny part is that Matt Bonner can't even crack the starting lineup ahead of 2 dead people, a blind man, a SpursTalk poster, and a bag of rocks.

The fact that my post went by mostly unacknowledged means either 1) that it wasn't very funny or 2) that maybe that is the correct assesment of Matt Bonner.

I read my post again and since it is decidedly hilarious, it must mean that Bonner is really not very good.

I would say less energy. The human brain to processes images in motion faster than inanimate images. Also, it's in black and white. A jpeg can hold millions of colors and the brain will linger on a still image longer to process the detail.

One of the reasons I mentioned Maggette, because the Spurs probably won't be able trade RJ for some young SF or a SF that is playing well for his current team. Both RJ and Maggette have struggled for their teams. RJ is familiar with the Bucks offense.

I would consider Maggette a better rebounder and can get to the FT line more.

Pretty much if you are going to trade a bad contract for another, might as well trade for one with less years (Maggette).
