Glenn Beck, a Fox News fixture since January 2009, announces that his daily talk show will end this year. Analysts suggest viewers and advertisers tired of his conspiracy theories and antics.
For being a racist bigot rodeo-clown, I found his shows to be fairly educational. I'm shocked that he single-handedly led the greatest display of freedom in recent memory (Operation Shock and Awe, not included) yet apprently struggled with declining ratings. Now me and all my conservative friends will have to follow Glenn by signing up for his University. I think we'll just sign up for one account and share it tbh

Racist, bigot? I suppose all people of non-color that are critics of Obama can be accused of this -- at least this is the Dem mantra for the past few years.

There have been rumblings for months. It wasn't any boycott. His ratings for the 18-49 demographic went from solid to non-existent in about a year.

Boycotting, or the threat of it, had something to do with it. Mainstream companies don't want to be anywhere near him when it comes to advertising.

At least he restored honor.
Glenn and Rush make a killing off the stupidity of the Tea Bagger Nation.

I don't listen to talk radio, but some conservatives I know tell me he started preaching all the time within the last year. Perhaps that has as much to do with his ratings as the conspiracy theories.

It's always great when an entertainer's contractual issues are deemed to have political import.

He was certainly propped up as a political figure when he restored America. Entertainer? Not as much as he is an educator to folks like Boutons.

Who were not fired.
You could have at least said Olbermann -- though it's not like Fox News is being sold to kabletown.
