Other than just bad Karma, Or some sort of freak of nature? I don't see how the Spurs can't win it all, You might as well reserve you a spot on the San Antonio River. maybe you think different.........

We don't speak of such things for fear they will actually happen. :lol

What kind of Heat fan *are* you? Have some faith... Shaq's healing!

Let's see, on our end, we've got the big fella's ankles, Manu's ongoing groin/thigh issues (not to mention his habit of treating his body like a punching bag), and Tony's knee tendonitis (which truthfully, I wouldn't know was an issue from watching him play). All the intangibles seem to be inplace (chemistry, etc). So barring an injury to one of the three amigos, I think we're ready.

How predictable is this....?

Shaq has a 30 point game , The heat win by 20 in game7 ? Wade comes back , and Shaq is on the attack? face it, the Spurs could be big trouble...

I don't see how the Spurs have an answer for him when he is hot.

sorry if I sound harsh, that is not my goal, my goal is to see the Spurs Choke Thursday, and they will my friends, oh yes, they will...

Sure> first of all, I worry about the long layoff and losing our sharpness in the first game due to rust. It has happened before to a lot of clubs. If we lose the first game we lose HC advantage and that might be a big loss against these opponents. Don't underestimate them.

Secondly, we have a weakness that other teams have exploited before. Any time a team blocks out our guards from driving the lane, we are less effective. And if our guards don't adjust or fail to make their jumpers from 15' out to beyond the arc, then we lose. The Lakers simply took away our driving lanes last year and beat us four straight games. And Detroit is a much tougher defensive club than the Lakers IMHO.

Thirdly, if the club players come in with as much overconfidence as some on this site, then we could lose.

Fourth, all it takes is a few calls going the other way in close situations in the last quarter.

All that being said, I think we are the team to beat with our good first five and outstanding depth.

If TD does not play well.

Here are his stats when they won games 1,2 and 5 and when they lost games 3 and 4:

Games won Games lost
Minutes 42.0 38.5
FG pct. 46.4% 31.3%
Rebounds 15.7 13.0
Points 22.7 15.0

Huge difference.

Yeah, but they are not the focal point of Detroit's defense like TD is.

If they fail to contain TD, they are not doing what they want to do, hence, they have better chance to lose.

IMO, GInobili has become the focal point of the detroit defense and if you think about it, it makes sense.

You shut down Ginobili, you kill the Spurs alot.

Yeah, but they are not double teaming him everytime he touches the ball like they have been doing with TD.

The key to winning Game 5, besides Horry going beserk was that TD figured out how to beat the double team quicker, so he was either going to his shot faster or he was finding the open man.

stop with the parade bullshit, that's the city planning things in advance for business, it's not like all the fans in sa got together and said we are winning tonight, let's plan the parade for thurs. im sure detroit has their's planned or at least in the works. business that's all it is.

team defense. make chauncey the scorer or hamilton. chauncey scoring means less assists, less touches for anyone else, and less rebounds. with hamilton, he's not a great passer. pick one guy shut everyone else down, they use to do it before. i dont know what happened. or yeah and BOX OUT.
