Streaky guard in the mold of John Starks.

What do you guys think about Mack? Seemed he could really score for a PG.

Will be gone by mid-20's I think..Guy is a winner and like college players who can play under pressure, which Mack definatly has...

G Hill clone, a bit slower, not as long and not a consistant shooter. No thank you. We need a playmaker at PG Mack is not it.

you do realize we draft at #29, right?

You realize we are overloaded with pg/sg types right? There will be a couple bigs at 29, as well as some Euro kids who can help. Mack is a second rounder at best.

Jordan Williams
JaJaun Johnson

Both should be around at 29

Singler
Poss Singlton with medical concerns
Marsaun Brooks

If we go pg, hope its Reggie Jackson.

A good change Mason from Duke leaves, he may get pushed down into the late first, he is very gifted athleticly, great rebounder, passer, shot blocker who can defend post and stretch 4's he would be a great pick at 29.

All those names you mention are all 2nd rounders in normal years but with this draft some could sneek into 25-30. They all have 2nd rd talent except singleton.

Manu should go to the bench and he could play PG, so we don't need another Hill

You do realize that if there's no one they like or that is a fit, the Spurs MO is to just dump the pick, right?

You do realize that I have indicated that same draft outlook numerous times, right?

Actually, I didn't realize that.

Personally, I think there may be 1 or 2 players that they hope will drop, and then they'll either pick for someone else, or just out and out trade the pick. I'd say the odds of us drafting someone and keeping the pick is about 10%. A pick in the 20s next year will be MUCH better than a pick in the 20s this year.

Wow. I don't think he has anything in common with John Starks.

This guy has a winner's mentality but I don't know how he'll fare in the NBA. I can't see anyone taking him in the 1st, but he could be a good take in the 2nd.

The difference is that RC actually came out and said specifically that the Spurs weren't looking to reload through the draft. I can't remember the last time that has happened.

I don't get it. Why would the Spurs be looking for another PG (unless they expect to trade one of them).

The team only has 2 picks and has more greater needs for youth than at PG. If he's available at 29 and EVERYONE else the Spurs like at SF or PF/C are taken, they should trade the pick away.

Picking another PG is a wasted pick.

I will wonder if Mack was a player we should have gone for instead of Joseph. Teams will take the younger guy, thinking he has more upside. I'm behind Joseph, though, and hope it works out.

Mack is pretty much a SG. Exactly what the Spurs wanted to stay away from when finding a new backup PG.

I like his game though.
