Gotta give those boys their props! They clinched a spot with their win tonight. They're not going to be an easy out in the playoffs.

I think this is as far as they go for the next several years. I cannot see them building more than a 6-8 seed in the Western Conference, first round out.

I think they really surprised everyone this year. But i agree-this is as far as they can come with this core of players.

They have Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, and OJ Mayo as free agents. Assuming they re-sign all those players, they will be capped out. Rudy Gay is the leader of the pack and he's not a top-30 player in my opinion. They are a tough team, but I doubt they will go anywhere in the West.

I agree they are unlikely to get past the 1st round. They could still push a series to 6 games though.

Nobody should dismiss them in the first round. I'm not going as far so say that I really think they'll win a series this year, but I don't think there is a team in the West that wants to face them in the first round. Don't be the least bit surprised if whatever series they are in ends up going to 7 games.
