As we all know...the Blazers, Hornets and Grizz all within one game in the loss column. To make things more interesting, the Grizz will play the Hornets today and the Blazers on Tuesday. There is a chance that all three teams could wind up with 34 losses...and then it would go to tiebreakers.

The Hornets control their own destiny here. If they beat the Grizz today and all three teams wind up with the same record they are in 6th. They can actually lose to the Grizz and still wind up ahead of them if they win out by way of their better division record. The Blazers and Grizz are tied in the season series, so Tuesdays game is important for both teams as the winner will be seeded ahead if both wind up with the same record.

Should be a fun couple of days.

Got to love all the tanking possibilities here as teams try to get the best matchup they can. I believe Dallas plays the Hornets last game and could control if they play them first round with either a win or a loss, depending on standings that day. Last time they tried that, they rested their starters against Golden State and the Warriors got the 8th seed over the Clippers. I won't remind Mavs fans of what followed. At this point, the Lakers could still drop to #3 or #4, and I think even Denver could drop down to compete with #'6-8. We know who is in, just not who they play. Makes it interesting to say the least.

Don't want anything to do with Portland. NOLA would be the Spurs best bet.

+1. I'd rather have New Orleans. If not I'd rather have Memphis than Portland. As long as LA doesnt end up with an easy ass matchup like New Orleans I'm happy...

If the Lakers get New Orleans in the 1st round, might as well hand them the West from now, tbh..

I just want to see one game where both teams are trying to tank. Would they have to start shooting at the wrong baskets?

I'm a Spurs fan through and though, but seriously, if you're Memphis or NO, would you want the Lakers in the first round? Portland isn't scared of the, obviously, but pretty much everybody else in the league is.

Portland and Memphis would make it tough as hell for the Lakers, while the Hornets would probably get swept and lose every game by double digits....

Good win by Memphis...but in looking at the remaining schedule for both teams there is a good chance both go 1-1. If that happens then Memphis stays in 8th. Memphis really needs to win out in order to get ahead of NO.

The Grizzlies will lose the next 2 & finish 8th, book it. In Portland then vs Clippers in LA. Clippers are a lot better at home & will wanna finish the season with a W.

NOLA want us too. They are going to lose the last 2 games.Tonight they really suck.Even CP3 was on the bench in the final minutes.

Be interesting to see how Memphis plays tomorrow and the next game. They still control there own fate, they could also lose both games and finish 8 if they want that spot. If N.O and Mem finish with identical records then N.O will get the higher seed.

Come one MEM, don't tank! Play like men.

BTW, it's hard to imagine MEM tanking. I mean, if they wanted to ensure they had the 8th seed, the wouldn't have pounded NO head to head the other night, right?

Memphis-LA would be a sexy 1st round series, until the Grizzlies are ordered to start struggling on purpose, tbh..

Hornets-Spurs would be great, especially for the Hornets fans vs. Spurs fans shit talking here..BR vs. DPG..

I'd like to see MEM beat POR tomorrow night. I assume DAL will beat NO on Wed so it wouldn matter if POR lost @ GS.....

6. Mem
7. Por
8. NO

i'm fine with that.

Bynum would be petrified if MEM was their opponent. That is a minimum of 4 worry filled games.

Lakers would handle Portland pretty easily IMO..

They would beat Memphis too, but at least Randolph-Gasol always go hard against Bynum-Gasol, and Tony Allen defends Kobe very well..

Either way, as long as LA doesn't get New Orleans, I'm fine with whoever the Spurs get..

Portland wouldn't be easy for the Lakers

7/6 games
