Spurs doing the right thing. Rest their guys. Make LA play against some scrappy players. Get Tiago time vs Bynum/Pau.

VBM

Spurs Starters: George Hill, Gary Neal, Richard Jefferson, DeJuan Blair and Tiago Splitter — according to Jeff McDonald. That means Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan and Antonio McDyess will sit tonight. Expect the regulars to return in Phoenix

Of course. Spurs treating LA as they should since they locked the number 1 seed: A tough practice for our bench. Get them some time vs LA's stars going for it all to stay out of the 4th spot.

Win for the Spurs and LA (at least in the standings).

Spurs aren't looking for "win/win". They have nothing to play for.

My point was bench gets minutes you get to test Splitter against a legit front-line and the Lakers gain no confidence against beating a quality squad.

Those are all wins in my book. Heck even if the Spurs make the Lakers work and tire their asses out for tomorrow they "win" ...

DPG21920
04-12-2011, 10:08 PM
Yes. They needed to prove to themselves they had "it" in them still. Going 0-5 and losing the one seed was devastating. Avoiding the 4th seed is a must now and they are playing with something to prove.

They want to strike fear into Bonner/Hill/Blair/Tiago.

A sample: This reminds me of those 2006 laker teams. Absolutely no depth and relying on Luke Walton to make shots.

If Bynum is out..adios championship..this is why you sit the starters..Popovich was smart in sitting his guys out..and we still can't even get a good lead against a bunch of scrubs
this is a joke, the lakers having trouble to put away the spurs's scrubs and bynum getting hurt.

They must be trolling with us right? RIGHT?

No Drew, Blake or Barnes, we're losing at Sac tomorrow, 4th seed and I can see us getting knocked off first round

Looking at it initially, that's a Grade 1 Hyper-Extension. Where a LAL fan should be concerned is that Bynum wears a brace that's supposed to prevent the hyper-extension and despite the brace, Bynum still got hurt.

I agree. Everything you are saying is true. And you are right not only did the injury affect the team but the crowd. But the spurs are playing only 1 starter (RJ) (maybe 2 if you cont Blair who has started) and he is the worst one ...

I was going back and forth on if the Lakers were trying they are NOT, not really. and that to me is sadder than if they did. We are too arrogant and if Bynum is hurt for 2 weeks we DESERVE it ...
