Maybe if the Lakers weren't "coasting" all year they wouldn't have to scramble to get a top 3 seed and could have Bynum on the bench for this game.

how bad did it look?

how bad did it look?

The crowd reacted with audible disgust when they showed the replay. Pretty nasty.

I'd call it a moderate to serious hyperextension.

Spursmania

It's not bad. Just a hyperextended knee.

You know this is Bynum we're talking about, right? Nothing is "minor" with those knees.

knee went the opposite way tbh

but he did have a brace, wasnt on the floor rolling in pain, and walked it off unfortunately

der Kaiser

He walked off under his own strength. If the Kaiser Beckenbauer can finish a World Cup Semi final match with a dislocated shoulder in the altitude of Mexico City, than this Sonafabitch can finish the game.

Its Bynum

He would miss a game if he would cut himself shaving in the morning.

He'll be fine, it usually takes one of his teammates to take him out..

Bynum has already admited, his knee ALWAYS hurts, no matter what. Sometimes it's worse and sometimes less. He has his knee drained all the damn time. This injury could make it a lot worse.

I've seen people walk away with torn ligaments before only to collapse later. The fact that he walked off means very little.

Very unclassy we apologize.

More than likely that knee brace he was wearing saved that knee, and the Lakers' chances at a title.

I want to beat them at full strength, no BS excuses. Get well soon, Andrew.

Lets hope thats the case. He is out for the game and will not travel with the team to Cowtown so we'll see.

Even though it's just a hyper extended knee it looked pretty bad. He might be out a while, he might even miss the 1st round of the playoffs or even the 2nd or maybe even more.

I looked the healing time up right now and it said it usually takes 2-4 weeks for just a mild hyper extended knee to heal.

IMO LA won't make it past the 1st round without Bynum should they play a team like POR.

Why when these niggas have repeated because of injuries?

09-Ginobili, Garnett, Nelson, Yao, etc
10'-Perkins goes down for most of Game 6 and all of Game 7

Because I legitimately feel bad for the kid at this point. Every time it looks like he's getting going, this shit happens. I hate the shit out of the Lakers, but I wanna beat 'em with our best going up against their best.

Guess I'm just too classy.

Just to let you guys who aren't able to watch the Fox Sports West feed. We've been told that Bynum isn't going to be traveling with the team to Sacramento. That would lead one to believe that he's being treated for that hyper-extension.
Him walking off means nothing but that. He could still be hurt from mild to fairly severe and that brace is an aid. Take it off, it could possibly reveal more damage.

Per Lakers pr, Bynum's hyperextended rt knee could be bones, could be ligaments. Won't know till MRI tomorrow.

First round against Grizzlies with Gasol and Zach gonna be ugly. Portland anyway.

Could be interesting
