lol contention. I hope them being in the playoffs this year is not some kind of way to try to justify the Gasol trade as an even deal. It was a shity trade, made by idiots who you are now prasing for being back in the playoffs.

In any case, Spurs fans shouldn't take this personally. If this was any other team no one would argue that trying to avoid the Lakers would be a valid strategy, so I won't blame Memphis for that. They could try not to make it so obvious, but I guessed they kind of embrassed their role with the Lakers.

Spurs will make quick work of them anyway.

Guess what - Randolf, Gasol, and Battier are free agents this summer IIRC. The owner Heisley has no desire to get into luxury tax land (he's already said so). Rudy Gay was paid like a superstar already. I think Conley (an average player at best) was extended too.

There's a good chance they will lose one or two of their FAs.

Memphis has been rebuilding since they arrived in Vancouver. They will continue to rebuild.
