Blame Memphis for tanking, and Pop for giving games up...

I'm counting on the unique ability of the Clippers to fold in the next two quarter.

They can lead by 30 and still lose a game by the end of it so I'm not that worried.

And Manu is hurt. Because we know that injuries never linger with Manu.

:toast Awesome move Pop.

Memphis isn't even trying, 26% shooting.

We gave them the easy road.

If we had won the game yesterday they could be the 3rd or 4th seed. And surely Memphis would be playing tonight to be the 7th instead of tanking

Pop was afraid of the Lakers but now if we reach the Finals we'll find the Lakers well rested after an easy road

Fuking brilliant

Injuries can and will happen at any given time. That's why the best coach in the league understands they're part of the game, he doesn't try to micromanage that shit, and plays to win every game.

ElNono

So Phil played Bynum, he got injured, and now they have an easy 1st round where they won't need him and he'll have time to heal...

NO and Dallas have players that have actually won many playoff series, opposed to.....anyway, i understand your point, even though it's unfounded....dont understand why everyone here is so scared of OKC

dallas would actually be a worse match up for the spurs simply because they have tyson chandler to give duncan all sorts of struggle. also, no one on the spurs, as usual, can guard dirk. i believe the spurs have swept the thunder this year and last year (maybe). they did not have perkins but the thunder always seem to play poorly against the spurs.

as for getting memphis first, that is bad. it's going to be harder than most people realize. they have tony allen and battier to tire out parker and gionbili. randolph and marc gasol will also give the thin front line of the spurs a lot of trouble. just a bad match up altogether. meanwhile the lakers get to breeze through the first round by sweeping the hornets.

The worst part is that the big3 didn't play yesterday because Pop is afraid of the Lakers. To avoid injuries was not the reason.

So i guess Pop's hopes to win the championship are on Hornets and Mavs

I really wish the Spurs would have wiped the floor w/ the Lakers last night and made a SA-Dallas matchup that much more likely

Lakers are only up by 8 vs Sacramento at halftime so it is a lil to early to say they have an easier road...Dallas could wind up playing NO.....Lakers can wind up playing Portland if they lose....

it would be fitting for sactown to give one last middle finger to the lakers before they move.

Dirk's gearing up for the playoffs. Instead of fading away he's stepping toward the basket and drawing contact. The Mavericks were really really good the last time he started doing that. The Lakers are also extremely beatable. All the Spurs have to do is take care of their business. If they're going to go down due to injuries then the matchups don't really matter.

If we beat LA you would have been two and LA third! We would still get OKC in the playoffs man! They would be 4th... Come on bro.

This is why I wanted Pop to go after last night's game. The Lakers could've fell to the number 4 seed. And to me the Lakers are more vulnerable in the WCSF than the WCF. Don't tell me that Pop sat the starters for rest, he did it because he was terrified at the thought of losing to the Lakers before the playoffs and to keep them away from that 4 seed.

If the the last two games on the schedule had been Minnesota and Phoenix, then Pop would've played the starters last night and rested them against Phoenix.

Mavs could easily knock of the Lakers, they're the biggest sleeper team this playoffs. They're only a sleeper because no one really thinks they're a threat because of their history -- but they're much, much better this year.

Reality is, HCA or not, whatever team you play, in a 7 game series the best team always prevails. Spurs will win this if they put their minds to it. They are still the most talented, deepest team in the league. And they're healthier than almost anyone. Manu will be fine.

Pop is so afraid of the Lakers, if the Spurs made it that far, the series is already over. It made no sense to not play the Lakers but then play against the Suns. I'm sure the Spurs players pick up on his fear.

The Lakers now get to roll over the Hornets instead of sweat bullets against the Blazers.

Basketball is a game of confidence... not just skill... when you give away wins to teams that are desperately looking for one, you're doing them a favor...

Of course. The Lakers run of luck, unprecedented in the history of North American professional sports, continues. Bynum, who's surgically repaired knee looked like it snapped it two, is magically (and predictably) fine, Ginobili is predictably injured and the Lakers got as easy a path as possible. So as usual, everything worked out.

If Kobe didn't get the technical rescinded by the NBA...he would have had to sit against Sac due to the technical and homophobe remark...then sac would have won and the lakers would have had to play portland...

Stern just taking care of his favorite team.
