It's gonna hinge on Ty Lawson staying in front of Westbrook and denying him penetration... make him beat you from outside, not from the FT line... Karl can come up some good defensive schemes sometimes... Pressure is on OKC, having HCA and needing to improve from last season...

it will be half an hour in the game when there is a confrontation and the old double tech

Denver in 6 or 7

Denver has a chance. They probably have the deepest team in the league. Depth sometimes is better than anything, even HCA.

I got Denver in 7

If healthy, Nuggets in 7. If the Nuggs don't heal, then the Thunder in 6. A heap of Nuggs players are injured, while the Thunder are healthy.

I predict 120 points per game by both sides.

DMC

It's going to be probably the best opening series. Both teams are capable, no clear cut favorite imo.

I dont see how yall say Denver doesnt win at least 2 games. OKC is the better team.

but My guess Smith shoots lights out in at least one game and probably shoots the nuggs out of at least two others. Karl has his issues but does pretty well when in the underdog role. I think OKC in 6 ...

i got thunder...they play similar ball..and when two teams play similar types of ball, you go with the one who has the talent. OKC in 6.

I would say OKC in 6. The Thunder had lost, what?, 8 straight in Denver before beating them earlier this month? I still think the Thunder are still w/o an offensively efficient big man and that will eventually take them out.

...PREDICTION

There will be no easy games for the Thunder, Denver will make them work for it. But in the end, Oklahoma City is just the better team.

OKC should win this in 5. They're just way better than Denver and their interior defense and depth are some of the toughest in the league. I'm also not sure Denver can stop Westbrook and Durant.

By the way, why are they called the "zombie sonics?" Is that because the Sonics were dead, and this team rose to life?

It's a Bill Simmons nickname, because no one here seems to read any other basketball writers.
