this season? Waiting for a cube, snoop, Erick Sermon, or Lil Wayne to come up with this years anthem. Has any team had more rap songs made about them?

I still think Erick sermon, DJ Quik and Xzibit had the best one ... find that bad boy and cue it up Kool ...you know which cut Im talking about it's from the initial title of the 3 peat in 2000 ...

when Xzibit's quotes the late, great chick hearn in his verse it always brings a smile to my face. the jello is jigglin the butter is hard and he rhymes it with championship squad.

Xzibit was a cold MC before MTV "pimped him out" and he turned soft.

I concur. I listened to all of these Focus, kobe Bryant, and last years during our playoff run. But they pale to Randy's anthem. It may be cheesy and dated. But it reps my former home city and the Lakers made it part of their culture. when this played in 2000 after the comeback against the Blazers in Game 7 Staples was electric. To be there for that game was my greatest sporting memory. even over Magic's retirement ceremony. that year was special. If shaq had maintained that high level of play for even a few more years his legacy would be soo much greater. that year he was not only better than kobe but he was creeping towards Kareem, Magic and MJ status for me. But alas Kripsy Kremes and chasing skanks would not allow Shaq the chance to reach that level EXCEPT in the 2002 playoffs. THAT level of diesel has not been seen before or since even though he rang two more times ...

"I love L.A." encapsulates it all for me as a SoCal native and Laker fan.
No other tune/anthem does if for me than Randy's tune....:toast

Old school, and the team used this in the past, but it's still perfect:

When you hear I Love L.A., it just sounds right for the Lakers. That is the epitome of achievement right thurr.
