:lol

Is that your feeling on the fries or my thread? Both?

In my defense, I've had enough tonight to warrant bumping the Beer thread...

Never had sea salt before?

Well, not only that, but they're also "natural cut." Have you seen the commercials?

Have you had them with Wendy's nuggets and Sweet-n-Sour sauce? Mind-blowing.

:lol I was forced to go to Whataburger (currently at the drive-thru actually) after being unable to find an open Wendy's tbh.

I guess it's better than dog shit. Tbh I have never tried dog shit though so I could be wrong.

They're an improvement when the do them right. For all the hype about them they still taste awful when they oversalt them, which is something of a specialty of the Wendy's by my office.

I'd rather have sweet potato fries over those or regular fries...but they're a close second.

I'm really not crazy about the sea salt fries, I would still rather have Mcdonalds.

I was gonna say what SFIE said. First time I had them, perfect, second time just the other day and they were over salted.

As for sea salt, I can't remember the last time I used regular table salt in anything I cook, if it's not sea salt it's kosher, depending on what I'm cooking.

I don't think they're all that. Decent fries imo

Wendy's old fries were terrible, so any change would've been an improvement.

I like the fries @ Fatburger better (the steak fries)...I never really liked Wendy's fries prior to the change, but I knew people who'd eat them with their Frosty.

just had some at Wendy's. not bad. better than the soggy crappy ones they had before. I love whataburger, but their fries usually suck prob 6 times out of 10. Love the burgers but often whataburger fries are soggy..at least the location closest to me

I have decided against Whataburger on several occasions just because I hate their fries so much.

The Wendy's fries are pretty rad. They make me miss the old Jack in the Box fries.

They've been out for months, hardly new at this point. I tried and liked them at first, but i got sick of them.

If you want, I could rework my thread title, since they've been out long enough, and you've made frequent enough trips, to grow tired of them.

Props.

Don't even recall what Whatburger fries taste like, I almost always get onion rings.

Whataburger's fries get too god damn soggy. Imo Burger King, McDonald's, and Wendy's are much better. They don't have them around here but the fries from Checkers/Rally's weren't bad either.

I'm going to die because of fast food btw.

It doesn't matter what their fries taste like. Their burgers, chicken strips, and the fact that they are open 24/7 makes them >> any fast food place.

Honey barbecue chicken strip sandwiches basically dominate every chicken sandwich ever made.

And their Chophouse Cheddar Burger makes the pain of losing the Thick-n-Hearty a little less brutal...

".. The fries are sprayed with sodium acid pyrophosphate, a chemical that prevents them from turning brown from two baths in frying oil -- one at the factory and the other at the store. They're also dusted with dextrose, a sugar derived from corn, for similar purposes. For comparison, Five Guy's fries don't need sodium acid pyrophosphate or dextrose because they're only fried once and aren't frozen..."

Then again, a simple burger and fries combo at Five Guy's, while delicious, costs about 10-12 bucks...
