I'll give my vote to option 1.
And I'm sorry Mr. Majors, but to quote Kenny Loggins in The Highlander, "There can be only one."

Good point, but I think they definitely improved on it. Maybe Chappy inspired Erick Sermon to say "Lounge homeboy, you're in the danger zone" on You're a Customer.

Both can still illicit an emoitional response from anyone that came of age in the 90's. I would say that DU was a bigger influence on me wanting to discover hip hop/rap than Bell Biv Devoe did in getting me to listen to that Philly Motown sound. So I'll go with both Digital songs posted in this thread.

Great song, but I still gotta take Humpty Dance as the #1 on that album... and this as #2:

Very close...but I'll take BBD by a hair. It's difficult because they are essentially different genres. Here's a real tough one.....

Fucking Sophie's choice, this is. Going to have to give the edge to BBD, but it's damn near a dead heat.

I had a serious obsession with Jodeci's cover of "Lately" when it came out, so that one wins easily. This is a tougher Shai match up, in my opinion:

I expected you to pick Shai...but I agree with you. Lately shut the scene down when Jodeci dropped it.
Baby I'm Yours is an all time favorite of mine, but when Knockin' the Boots came out I ran that song into the ground...at the crib...in the car...basically everywhere. VERY slight edge to H-Town.
