What is gonna be the key to the finals?

Offense?

Or Defense?

Both teams are awesome at defense...but can it cancel out?

OR will it be offense that breaks the defense that will determine it all?

Will offense win a championship this year?

My question is....what's gonna win it? offense or defense...

and I really doubt it's gonna end up in the 110's..

The shooting of Barry, Bowen and Horry will be the key.

Assuming we play defense like we are capable of, it will be the offense that puts us over the top. I know for the most part, Tim and Manu can get theirs. You know Big Shot Rob will be there. But can Tony avoid a repeat of the 2003 finals? When all of our big 3 show up, we have a good chance of winning the game. Tony has made strides since then no doubt but his inconsistency still shows up now and then. I think if Tony can score 15+ a game, which hopefully is enough to neutralize Chauncey's scoring, then we'll take this series in 6.

Their best player isn't billups.....

its hamilton..and I think that he's been one of the most consistent players in the league... I noticed it, because he was in my fantasy league..and he never failed.

Hamilton will get his. But in the 4th, Billups can take over a game with his 3 point shooting and free throw shooting. I'm more worried about containing Billups than Hamilton, especially since he's played so well against Parker in the past.

But they really never controlled the Spurs...

over the last 2 seasons they beat us once with rasheed...

The second one I believe was just a terrible game and the Spurs had been in a slump before that.

Even if billups steps up.. I haven't really seen the pistons beat the spurs at their best.

We beat them 2ice with both teams being healthy... So I definately think Hamilton is the key for pistons.

Stop Rasheed Wallace.

I don't think he'll want to be on the attack against Duncan

offense.
Particularly Duncan's.
Ben Wallace will always be Big Ben=10 pts+

But, the match-up bet Rasheed & Duncan could be the big factor to win this series.

Rasheed has not been playing offensively well in the Miami-Detroit series.

5/29 41min 13 pts 8 rbds
5/31 22min 20 pts 3 rbds
6/2 27 min 2 pts 8 rbds
6/4 31 min 11pts. 9 rbds
6/6 36 min 20pts 7 rbds

ave 11 pts. 5.8 rbds

whereas, Duncan averages 27.4(30pts in 1st 3games) vs. Suns

Duncan this playoffs:
vs. Denver ave 22 pts/game
vs. Sonics ave 25.2 pts/game

vs. Suns 27.2/game 14 rbds(ave 4 off.)

that's plus 16.4 over Rasheed :huh

ben does NOT give u 10+ pts a game

he will give u 6.7pts per game if htatthen, it's a catastrophe for Detroit.

anyway Rasho only averages 8pts/game vs Detroit so, they will cancel themselves out.

Yeah Ben usually gives you around 8 points...and more than 10 boards..

But yeah...if rasho starts...they will cancel each other out... I doubt Rasho starts...

the winning factor: Manu Ginobili

w/ tayshaun's defensive presence im not convinced manu would be as productive. what's really scary is the Spurs really depend on manu for stability.

when duncan and parker had bad games manu wasl always there to save them.
IMO that is the difference between the 04 and the 05 teams. last year we depended on Parker so much that when he wilted we lost 4 straight. this year (sonics series he struggled for the last 4 games) we had Manu to be Tim's sidekick.

well i think that's the key factor: How much tayshaun affects ginobili.

Manu Ginobili and Parker on offense will be the key. Pistons are not going to double Duncan that much, which means much fewer open 3's for Barry and Horry. Manu and Parker has to drive into the heart of the defense and create havoc.
Defense will be stellar from both clubs.
