-Tim Duncan is carrying the team right now. 12 points and seven rebounds at the half while playing with a ton of energy. Unfortunately, he's the only player who seems to realize that the playoffs have started.

-Tony Parker needs to wake up. The Grizzlies are keeping it simple against him on the defensive end but TP has yet to do much of anything. One assist and 2-for-8 shooting? Not close to enough production, especially with Manu Ginobili sidelined. He's hesitating instead of going hard to the rim. Parker needs to raise his aggression level three or four notches on both ends.

-George Hill has had moments here and there but he has also been a disappointment so far. Forcing it more offensively wouldn't hurt the team and could get him going. His defense has been acceptable for the most part.

-Richard Jefferson played really well early on but his energy has diminished as the game has gone along. He needs to recapture it in the second half. Rebounding should remain his main point of focus.

-Antonio McDyess and DeJuan Blair have brought the effort but the execution is lacking up until this point. More efficiency is desperately needed on both ends.

-Matt Bonner is playing better defense than I expect. However, his hesitation on offense makes me worried that he's scared of the playoffs once again.

-The Grizzlies are executing their gameplan rather well. They aren't sending much help at Duncan in order to contain the three-point shooters. They are also doubling Parker with interior players when he goes into the paint. To exploit Memphis' gameplan, the Spurs need more assertive penetration and better ball movement if they want to get the ball in the hands of open shooters.

-Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol are 9-for-10 from the field right now to go along with ten rebounds. The rest of the team is 7-for-23. The Grizzlies want to pound the ball in the paint. The Spurs can afford to sag in a bit more to force Memphis to try to win via the jumpshoot.

-Ginobili not being on the court obviously isn't helping. But perhaps even worse, the emotional letdown of Ginobili not playing seems to be really affecting both the players and the crowd. Everyone involved needs to get over it and try to win this playoff game. There's no room to feel sorry for yourself.

This bothers me as well. The first few minutes where people should be loud and excited for their team's start to the playoffs and road to a final realistic championship for a while, couldn't even tell it was a playoff game. Actually closer to preseason, it seems dead in there, fuckin lame.

And ducks will still blame Parker's game on Manu somehow.

Parker picked up the attacking big time in the 3rd. Just keep grinding away and play smart to win.
