Will you be playing Dark Side of The Moon while watching The Wizard of Oz?

You evicted him. He had no choice.

Admit it, you only created this thread so you could use the "Follow the yellow brick road" line in live action.

It loops 2 or 3 times through the movie. The only thing I really noticed is that right as the film goes from B&W to color, "Money" starts playing...

I don't know why but I recorded "Green Mile" on TnT yesterday and have been wading thru it ever since. Why, why would I watch it cut to pieces when I have it on the shelf? It's crazy.

Yeah, when she's in the black gown she got a nice displacement.

And she's probably in her early 40's then. The older the grape, the sweeter the wine.

Margaret Hamilton was in her late '30s at the time.

I saw her in an early '70s movie called The Anderson Tapes, starring Sean Connery, Dyan Cannon and a young Christopher Walken.

She did not have a nice ass in that movie. Dyan Cannon, on the other hand...

I never like watching the Wizard of Oz because it always has to end. I didn't like that as a child because it meant school the next day. It was always shown on Sunday nites. Now that feeling is ingrained.

If you like those early '70s paranoia thrillers (Three Days of the Condor, The Parallax View, etc) it's worth a look. Not in the class of those movies, but not too bad.

"Condor" is terrific. Especially poignant is Cliff Robertson's passioned, admonition to "Condor" about oil, hunger, money & such. Words that resonate mightily 40 years later.

Three Days of the Condor was alright...haven't seen The Parallax View but I'm pretty sure that one's available for streaming.

Yeah, that last scene between Redford and Robertson is downright prescient. "They won't care... they'll just want us to get it."

Early '70s is a golden age in American cinema IMO.

Also nice there is the Swedish hitman (forget his acting name). A fine fellow who one moment has a contract on Condor, and in the next that contract is canceled and another contract is executed. He's got a heart as he winces just a little when the brutal hitman whacks out Condor's oriental girlfriend in the beginning...."I won't scream." she says. "I know." he answers her before turning away as she's slaughtered.

Good mems.

Yeah this should end up being a pretty entertaining series. Glad Nene's injury wasn't serious.
