fuck i hate to even think about this as a possibility but the playoffs are all about matchups i remember in 2007 the mavs got golden state in the first round and they had lost like 6 in a row to them or something and it was justy a bad matchup for them... we split the series with memphis and although their two wins was to a spurs team that wasnt 100 they do match up well with us... that being said i still think we win this series in 6 but if we happen to lose game 2 i think well be in serious trouble and there would be a strong possibility we lose in the first round...

The problem with using "matchups" as an excuse is that the Thunder and Trail Blazers would give the Spurs the same matchup problems, much less the Lakers, and the Nuggets give them a whole new set of problems.

Face it, the Spurs are a January team.

Laker fan knows best. All year long we've relied on the three and we went away from it during today.

This team has more heart then that squad plus the big 3 have won championships before unlike the mavs core on that team.

We can't be like the 2007 Mavericks team, because there can only EVER be one first team to lose as a one seed in a seven game series.

If we can't beat this Memphis team without Gay, Tim might aswell hang them up and call it a career...

...or maybe injure himself the whole season next year then we end up last spot and take the #1 draft and hope that there is Duncan 2.0 waiting for us.

Yeah, I just woke up. :downspin:

The problem was Memphis guarded the 3 pt line well today, up until the end of the game, the Spurs didn't get good open looks until late.

And fucking Mr. $11 million a year man RJ fucking misses a wide open 3 to get us to OT. Fucker should have dished it to Bonner to turn a "good look" into a "great look". At least Bonner and Splitter make the same salary. RJ needs to hit that look.
