(depending on the price) he might be a good option, even when considering his flaws. but he definitely offers something the Spurs are lacking for quite some time. limited but pretty efficient when his strengths are used right, something a smart team like the Spurs should be able to do. and if they can make him give effort on defense, he could be a good addition for a 15-20 MPG role.
(note: if I remember right there was a rumor that the Spurs tried to trade for him some years back. maybe deadline 2008? not sure)

He is on the decline. Pass.
We need a young, high potential big, like Deandre Jordan.

he played some good games this season, mostly at the end of the season. looked better than he did in about 3 years. decline? when I said he is worth consideration, then only as a depth player on a low contract. (which means max. 2 years and LLE). Spurs have 3 young bigs in Blair, Tiago and Richards, of course it would be nice to somehow find another one (draft?), but it's not that they were desperate for some young blood in the front court.

If Wilcox could avoid the minor injuries that seemingly crop up every year he'd be a nice player for any team. But year after year, he's got a 20+ game injury. It's too bad. When healthy he's very active and an above the rim player. He makes some great plays with awesome athleticism that pumps up the other players. The other negative is his tendency to allow fouls to keep him on the bench. But if you're looking at him for a 20 minute reserve that doesn't matter too much.
I like Wilcox. He's a hard worker who didn't really get caught up in all the BS that occurred in Detroit this year. Has been really solid for us down the stretch when Ben Wallace became less active. I wouldn't mind at all if we brought him back. But I'd prefer to see us draft a big early on to play alongside Monroe.
