Anyone giving Philly a chance the second time around?

Ghazi

no

Hope the Sixers can pull out an upset, but for that someone needs to teach them how to make layups, god!

Missed 4 or 5 already...

Even with the SuperFriends, nobody cares about this game.

Nice to see Meeks coming into NBA form.

When will perimeter players learn, Big Z is not the kind of guy you can hit with a bullet cutting to the basket?

No way!

Sixers playing tight and the Heat playing like they want to get this series over with.

John Basedow
04-18-2011, 06:32 PM
Tony Fiorentino needs to have a heart-attack and just die. I really can't stress that enough.

Jodelo

Sixers canīt hit anything so far!

NewJerSpur
04-18-2011, 06:34 PM
Don't know about that call on Miller, but that was some good anticipation on defense.

Nope, and the Heat aren't going to be giving them too many freebies as the game wears on. Ball movement's going to be imperative over the one-on-one dribble, drive, kick.

Sure, they had 3-4 wide open looks, Meeks and William e.g. but canīt knock it down. Like you said the D from Miami wonīt give them much!

Damn, did everything right defensively and still couldn't get the rebound.

NewJerSpur

The Heat missing wide open, longrange jumpers is what's keeping Philly in the game.

John Basedow

:lol

what up scro...I forgot the game was on TNT too, tbh. :lol
I'd rather sit through their shitty promos and commercial breaks if it means I'm spared the insufferable babbling of Fiorentino on the local broadcast.

"Great players play better when their injured/sick, cause they focus better."

"Wade is a great player."

"Great players make great plays."

Thanks for the in-depth color commentary Tony...just wolf down another garlic roll and stfu you fat wop.

It's sad when Reggie Miller is a more tolerable commentator.

John Basedow

The under (190) is looking like a pretty safe bet tonight. The Heat starters won't even see any 4th quarter action.

Nothing else seems to be working from the perimeter and guys are just chucking up contested jumpers when the Heat make them give-up on the possession so I'd definitely give Brand a look.

Zelophehad
04-18-2011, 07:11 PM
Tony Allen, Iguodala, Lebron, KG, and Dwight should be first team all-defense. But Allen and Iggy will get jobbed per the usual.

heat missed a lot of open jumpers if they hit half there up 25+ tbh

NewJerSpur
04-18-2011, 07:20 PM
Sixers have to start running more and get Brand the ball in the high post in the half court and let him go to work trying to loosen that Miami Heat defense up. The one-on-one dribble pull-up just ain't getting it. They're going to have nightmares over those missed layups.

If Jermaine "The REAL" O'Neal keeps his Rasheed Wallace impersonation up, Heat/Celtics might be the most competitive series in this year's playoffs.

When's the last time Pau Gasol scored 8 points in a playoff game?

that's how you play a lesser opponent ..... MIA gave them hope in Game 1 ..... tonight they put the wood to them ........ and Wade only took 11 shots ........

Im starting to build up a bit of ...I wont say fear but concern about the Heat. Like i have said Lebron still hasnt hit his peak and we have seen what Wade can do in the Finals especially with the benefit of the doubt from the refs.

I know many Laker fans wont admit this, but if Lebron figures out the "last level" and Wade is himself we may not be able to beat these guys. Me picking the Lakers and Celts over them, included Perk in Boston and a healthy Bynum (I know dumb to count on).

Good news is I dont think Lebron has quite figured it out and I think at our best we can still beat them, but I am hoping it takes them one more year to put it together.

Even though it was against the Sixers, they looked really good especially on the defensive end .... Filly had to work for everything they got....... Miami didn't

NewJerSpur
04-18-2011, 11:51 PM
Boston may be getting long in the tooth and Jeff Green isn't living up to his end of the trade with Perk, BUT I wouldn't count them out....The Heat supporting cast is still pretty mediocre and you can't play the Big 3 the entire game. Jermaine "The REAL" O'Neal has to keep looking Rasheed Wallace-like in the revival of his career and they might be dangerous for at least one more run.

F'in' shame we don't get two bites at the Chicago apple with both Heat & Celtics.

Bummer.

I'll be pulling for the Celtics. I can learn to hate the Heat on short notice.

This team was built to win.

Why people hated them? It was because they could win it all.People called it "to cheat".So deal with it..

What they are doing now it's what the whole world believed they would do.

Nothing new here.It can't be a surprise if they reach the Finals. But it's not over. We'll see if they do it.
