Three nights in and this playoffs is riddled with 'questionable calls.' This thread is simply a place to discuss them.

(1) Rose FT attempts v. Pacers FT attempts - simply put, big, historic market brings in the dollars for Stern and the boys
(2) Melo's offensive foul - need some late game consistency, that call was not
(3) Ibaka's tip - was offensive interference, the ball had not left the vicinity of cylinder
(4) Hibbert's offensive foul (game 2) - Where was it? Allowed for a 4 point swing favoring the Bulls (see 'questionable call' 1)

5) Refs give Spurs 5 billions FT's and they still can't close out Memphis.

Couldn't agree more Tyson, the whistles were completely one sided late in the game. The Pacers should be headed to Conseco with at least one win. Maybe being in Indiana will cause the refs to pocket those whistles when they want to call some bullshit against the Pacers.

Questionable calls called at a particular juncture of games is more telling than the quantity of calls called for a team.

Game 2 of the Pacers-Bulls is a prime example of this. Terrible officiating swung this game to the Bulls. This type of officiating makes the game unwatchable because the outcome is literally decided.

Fuck you stern.

People, please. All of this will pale in comparison to the calls the Lakers will get over the next few weeks.

Stern gets what Stern wants.

The funny thing is there is going to be a lockout and I venture to say the entire season will be lost next year because there is not enough competive teams and too many or losing truck loads of cash when in fact all they have to do is start calling a fair game regardless of player status or city size.

Yes, I can see why, based upon the vast disparity of FTs awarded to LA in last year's playoffs, you would make this prediction.

Spurs fans let's not forget that you too have had a couple of games where the whistle was definitely in your favor. The Spurs-Suns playoff series always seem to have a bit of shady calling in it. The 2007 players suspensions, Tim Donaghy's Game 3.....

I'm just grateful the Kings never had any questionable calls go against them over the years. That would have really sucked.

You got what was comin' to ya.

Instead of taking yourn' & trying to beat arn' you campaigned on a Referee Platform before we ever got down to it.

Your people were afraid to meet us at the summit and take their chances, so they tried screwing the pooch.

Uh, uh.

that dunk tip by george tonight should have counted, there was no offensive foul. foster got pushed out of bounds going for a board with a no call. and once during the last few minutes rose drove, made a spin move, got fouled well before going up, continued his drive and just threw it up AFTER hearing the whistle, and got free throws.

it gets worse because on that dunk george got fouled. that ended up being a 5 point or 6 point swing. how many points was the game decided by? 6 points.

His assignment to that game just follows a regular rotation of the 8 first round crew chiefs.

Bulls can thank Stern's "cameraman" for sticking his foot out and fucking up Collison's ankle. He'll probably be out for the rest of the series. Pacers are done. What Stern wants, Stern gets.

You realize how idiotic that sounds? Like he had a master plan to cause his ankle injury.
