just shut up.

Nothing comes near to freaking 1-17 in playoff games under Dan Crawford. Its not a few missed calls, 2-3 bad games, its freaking 1-17 and Dan Crawford bragging about it toward Tim Donaghy...

Actually this video is pretty embarrassing crying. Most of the calls are correct and the 1-2 missed ones (the Wallace one at the end) are more than neutralized by all that missed crap against Dirk in quarter 1-3.

Blazers fans are so pathetic. Well, if you had to listen to their moronic brainwashing broadcasting all the years, its almost Heinsohn level.

who the hell is Otaku?

Probably tlong's brother as their claims are both shitty and irrelevant. As Sefant wrote, even if there were some doubtful and wrong calls in the 4th (like the one on Wallace), in the end they were more than justified after the shit Dirk had to endure during the first 3/4 of the game. IMO Dirk might have gotten a few doubtful FT's in the 4th, but they were compensation for all those missed ones earlier. Pretty ridiculous to think you can hack the shit out of a player during the entire game without getting called. And the video is just laughable. I don't call a video with Blazers commentators a real convincing argument. They are the second worst homers in the NBA, right behind Heinsohn.

Should be a good game. Hope to see more clutch play from Dirk and Kidd, and more clutch celebrating from the JET.

04-19-2011, 11:12 AM
There were only two blatantly bad calls. The one where Terry used his off arm to fend off Wallace (at full speed it did look like Terry got fouled) and the one where Aldridge blocked Nowitzki and they called a foul, however superstars have always gotten the benefit of the doubt so that shouldn't come as a shock.

So there you have it, two bad calls in a game (without even caring about calls that went against Dallas). There's never been bad calls in an NBA game ever. :cry The fix is in :cry

Funny thing is that all these whiny Blazer fans saying it's rigged are still gonna watch every minute of this series :lmao

Eight games were decided by 5 points or less, and five of those were decided by three points or less. Seven games were decided by 10+.

I'm not trying to make any pre-game excuses, if the Mavs lose today it will most likely have more to do with their terrible guard play than the refs. I just hate how we keep drawing this fuck.

The Mavericks are 4-14 AGAINST THE SPREAD in playoff games refereed by Crawford since 2001 compared to 47-41-1 vs. the spread in all other playoff games in that span (according to information from Covers.com).

The reason this is important is that the spread is essentially one of the best ways to look at what a team is expected to do in a certain game. Historically, the spread has been shown to be an accurate predictor of what happens in a game – that is, teams are generally .500 against the spread over large samples of games. Therefore, the fact that the Mavericks seem to underperform compared to expectations (as proxied by the spread) in games reffed by Crawford is possibly more compelling evidence than the 2-16 overall record.

Nope...case in point Game 5 2003 WCSF. Kobe had Bruce Bowen in the air at the end (from the 3-point line), all he had to do was jump into him for the contact. He chose the pass b/c refs swallow the whistle in those situations.

Kobe could've easily gotten the contact (check the replay), but the refs wouldn't have called it cause it was a last shot...he knew this and opted for the pass to open Robert Horry (a good move on his part). Shot missed. Spurs win. Lakers lose.

Brent went the vaginal route and didn't get the call. Lakers win. Spurs lose.

The league office on Wednesday reviewed the final play of the San Antonio Spurs' 93-91 home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals and acknowledged that a two-shot foul should have been called on Derek Fisher for impeding Brent Barry.

After falling behind by seven points in the final minute, San Antonio sliced the deficit to two and regained possession with 2.1 seconds to play.

Barry then wound up with the ball in the center of the floor on a play called for Manu Ginobili and faked Fisher in the air but struggled to get off a 3-point heave at the buzzer after Fisher came down and bumped Barry.

"With the benefit of instant replay, it appears a foul call should have been made," league spokesman Tim Frank said Wednesday.

Ignoring the fact that San Antonio was the beneficiary of several no-calls in that quarter isn't any less ridiculous. In fact I can point to several plays in the 4th that San Antonio had go there way--you can point to only one.

In the end, it doesn't matter.
