@RobREnnis (http://twitter.com/#%21/RobREnnis) Rob Ennis

Ennis: Just left Hornets' shootaround at the Staples Center. Backup C Aaron Gray (sprained ankle) says he will "definitely" play in Gm 2.

To me Jarrett Jack is more important. Some Hornet fans agree, but most think Gray is more important.

True, but Jack will bring scoring off the bench and allows CP3 to rest. Jack is the only other person who has a distinct mistmatch against his man whether its Fisher, Johnson, or Brown.

Everyone else has a role, but I think Jack's play is extremely important.

No he's fine, but there's a debate among fans who's more important. I think its Jack.

Fuck it. He better play...don't want no lame excuse that the Hornets lose because they were missing their caveman....the one who made our caveman the forebearer of the word homo in sapien.

Lakers most likely win tonght still, but this should be really helpful for the Hornets. His ability to match up sizewise with Bynum, and to push Gasol around will make things really tough on the Lakers.

Non-issue. Dude is a bonafide scrub.

Mbenga was the real Gasol killer. Knew if Pau saw some blood early he would remain fetal positioned the rest of the game.

Doesn't matter cause he will get 4 fouls called on him in less than 5 minutes of playing time. Refs gonna be in full force tonight!

Indeed.

But, the Laker bigs will be far more aggressive. So, it will be a natural result for the most part. Although, there probably will be some phantom calls.

Gray isn't anything special, but he's big and strong enough to control Bynum in the paint. Bynum easily abuses Okafor down low, but he won't do that to Gray.

Gray is terrible:lol..he had one fluky game, tbh..I don't know if Bynum will abuse him, since Bynum is a proven playoff choker, but if Gasol gives any effort, he should dominate him..

I also agree that he's going to be in foul trouble..

Gray always had decent per minute and advanced statistics but awful conditioning has limited him to near uselessness.

Horseshit, he's probably the 3rd best big man in the league. It's BS that the Lakers got to draw this juggernaut team in the playoffs. We never get any breaks!

Gray does well against bigger centers defensively like Dwight Howard last year. Bynum won't abuse him because Gray is too big to back down and Bynum doesn't have enough mobility at this point to go around him. Gray won't guard Gasol one-on-one either. They will double Gasol most of the time.

If you knew anything about Gray, you would know he has good hands, a good touch in the paint, positions himself well deep in the paint, and is a very good rebounder. Stop fooling yourself Harlem, you're clueless about Gray.

Bynum will abuse Gray more than he usually abuses Haywood when he's not playing 5 on 8.

Last game he caught that one handed bullet of a pass from Chris Paul with what looked like one hand. Even if it was two hands he didn't bobble it at all. Nice hands indeed.

I'm a big believer in "whatever happens, is supposed to happen". If the Lakers need Aaron Gray to be on the bench in order to beat this hurricane battered team, they don't deserve to heft the LoB. And if they don't deserve to, they shouldn't.

Take care of business Pau, and take your head out of your ass. Lamar, I still see Khloe and ask myself wtf but on the court you can be the beast everyone makes her out to be. Do it.

Grey = Big Ol' Wall of Lard, very effective against current NBA centers without much offensive skill (getting past because of their size or athleticism).
