From my sources in the organization...RC told him straight up this morning "there will probably be no way to keep Manu off the floor tonight". "He wants to play."

Lock it down. Expect to see Manu in a jersey tonight!

Hope that eases some fears.

okay, you seem like a credible source. :)

Pretty sure everyone here already knows that Manu wants to play and will declare himself ready to play... but that decision isn't up to Manu.

Problem is that having Manu not playing may be better than Manu at 80%. If he is timid or holds back at all, the Spurs lose most of the intangibles he brings.
Hopefully I'm wrong and he has his Jordan moment tonight.

Don't shoot the messenger brotha. I don't post on here a lot, but I do read. Let's just say my sources are legit and all but standing in the huddle. This isn't coming from Manu its coming from RC. I haven't been wrong before on this site. (Hope I didn't just jinx myself) ;)

I have to see this as Spurs in 6. I think if we play like we know we can...Spurs in 5. But the guys seem to need a let down in order to collect their energy......So Spurs in 6.
Game 1 is very important

Zammers,

Does Blair have pictures of Pop and Finley together in a compromising position? Could this possibly explain his extended minutes as half of the Turd Towers?

Thanks

Obvious but good to hear. He will be a HUGE boost.

Pop is going to think about it. Maybe. Some day. It's actually not really clear if Pop knows Splitter is on his roster.

Hey Zammers... can you tell your sources to tell Pop to let Splitter in? Kthx.. also who are we drafting next year?

My source tells me that Pop really wants to win tonight.

My source also told me that his 2nd grade teacher smells like vanilla ice cream. And he's right about that... so... book it!

Did you see Manu in the last year's playoff games, especially right after his nose was broken?

Timid? Hold back? Those words are not found in his dictionary.

Manu knows the urgency of the situation more than anybody else.

He will have a great game tonight. :flag:

For those who like to read tea leaves: Hanging in Manu Ginobili's locker room is a Manu Ginobili jersey. Usually foolproof sign.

Ah good. I'm just messing with y'all. No official word on Manu, but doubtful for this evening is Jim Goldstein. He wanted to compare Oklahoma City's riverwalk to San Antonio's. Won't be close.

Don't mess with people's health!

When Manu comes out to warm up I'll let y guys know my impressions of how he looks. Talking to a couple people it seems Manu still has trouble moving his arm.

Thanks for the first-hand report. :tu

Coach Pop said during his pregame media availability Manu Ginobili (sprained right elbow) will start tonight.

Right as I say Manu's arm brace is massive here comes Rudy Gay who needs something to hold his shoulder and arm in a 45 degree angle.

Manu Ginobili, on the brace he will have to wear: "It's not the most comfortable thing in the world. But it's better than not playing."

At least it's not his shooting arm.

Manu comes out wearing a massive arm brace. He isn't even walking normal because of it. He is catching and shooting the ball well though.

Hell Boy Manu!

I know but he still uses his right arm a lot and Memphis will probably exploit that.

Manu on brace: “It’s better than not playing” (http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/2011/04/20/manu-on-brace-its-better-than-not-playing/)
Jeff McDonald

...“I have to wear it, so I have to get used to it,” Ginobili said.

Ginobili said doctors haven’t told him how long he will have to wear the brace, but he is hopeful he will be able to play without it at some point in this series.

By the way, I may be wrong on some predictions, but when it comes to injuries, trades, and offseason acquisitions.......I'm not wrong.

Manu played and started...as I said.

Tomorrow's weather will be hot. :lol
