And lol at everyone creaming their pants after Dirk's amateur closing job in last night's game. Tonight, we saw how a true artist closes a game. The jaw was jutting, the daggers were falling, and the Hornets had no choice but to just stand back and witness the greatness of this man:

Kobe Bryant.

Reggie Miller was mesmerized by Kobe's performance. Called him America's Most Wanted with the game on the line even though the Lakers were already up 11.

Please. Rose has zero rings and not one memorable playoff series to his credit thus far, whereas the Mamba does nothing but close out games and win championships.

Kobe24 is simply on another planet when compared to players like Rose.

Great thread buddy. Did you see the subtle way he got in all the Hornets players heads with those airballs?

My man Kobe just keepin em off balance like always. Just gotta soften em up before pulling their pants down and sticking a hard one in from behind.

The main problem last night was that Dirk was doing some weird things. Like taking good shots and getting his teammates involved. That's not Laker basketball. Our offense is give it to Kobe, have him dribble up the court, and jack up a contested shot so that when it goes in, it looks even better.

Now I know there's more no 'I' in team so occasionally you pass the ball to Gasol and then scream at him like a bitch when he misses.

Hey, brother! Testi-fuckin-fy!

Baby Drew and Kobe have definitely flipped the switch. I can't imagine the fear Spur, Mav, and Thunderfan is feeling watching the Lakers easily handle what is perhaps the toughest 7th seed in playoff history. I know for a goddamn fact those fly over country hillbillies are going to be tossing and turning all night, having nightmares about the juggernaut that is the Los Angeles Lakers of Los Angeles.

And this is one nightmare they can't wake up from.

The only idiots around here are the ones who use stats to evaluate how a player performed in a game.

Kobe didn't force and managed the game in such a way that would make Magic jealous, then when it was game time, he closed the deal like the mother he is.

Best 4th quarter performance of the playoffs so far.

BEST CLOSER = NOT BRYANT = Total B.S. HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY DEBUNKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Subjectively, Bryant might be looked as a great clutch player or contributor to his team in the clutch but alot of evidence strongly debunks this. For every highlight reel that makes ESPN and the rest of the media, more often than not Bryant comes up small in the clutch compared to Ginobili for one.

"Not only is Ginobili the new Batman, he's also Mr. Clutch." (nba.com)

Now from ESPN and others see sites above BRYANT IS FAR OVERRANKED BY HOMERS OF LAL re his clutchness/contributions to the team's success and the ill informed fans and media surprisingly continue to seemingly totally suck up to this over-rated superstar!

Read this right on piece:

Henry Abbott of TrueHoop is going to get a ton of hate mail for writing something that is really, at its heart, not so shocking. The upshot of Henry’s piece is that Kobe Bryant is not what believers would term “clutch.” The key piece of evidence:

ESPN Stats and Information’s Alok Pattani dug through 15 years of NBA data – Bryant’s entire career, regular season and playoffs — and found that Bryant has attempted 115 shots in the final 24 seconds of a game in which the Lakers were tied or trailed by two or fewer points. He connected on 36, and missed 79 times.:downspin::downspin::lmao:rollin:blah

That works out to 31 percent. That’s obviously horrible. It would embarrass the 2001 version of Antoine Walker. :lol:lol:lol

But guess what? It’s just about average.

That about sums it up - Mr. 6 for 24 in the decision game of last years finals and a paltry 17th all time in NBA PER IS SIMPLY NOT THAT CLUTCH OR EVEN A LEGIT TRUE CLOSER EXCEPT ON RARE OCCASSION HE IS SIMPLY AT BEST AVERAGE!!!!!

LOL 17th and way behind not only Jordan, Shaq, David Robinson and Duncan but also behind Dirk and many other stars today including the great Paul sitting at #8.

No surprise that in this series Paul has outplayed him as well.

Now Ray Allen and Paul Pierce have been continually clutch and Mr. Garnett is developing a Bird like deserved rep in Boston. Yet Kobe can do no wrong .... no matter how many bricks he throws up - he bricked a half dozed straight end of game one in LA.
