The scary thing is, like I said after game one, the really isn't major adjustments to be made. The Grizz are a basic team and they are ramming what they do down the Spurs throats. All the Spurs can do IMO is up the pace a bit and have their big 3 perform better. Nothing special and that's the scary part.
MEM called their shot by tanking and are telling the Spurs "you know what we do and you can't stop it".
yeah pop knows...but hes being stuborn not playing splitter...atleast he can play some d

grizz aint allowing us to shoot the 3, doesnt help when attacking the rim the refs are not calling the fouls and allowing the grizz get away with physical murder..
doesnt make a difference whether tony allen is fouled out or not, his not the one thats causing us the trouble...its randolf and zbo downlow + the combo of bonner and blair, then u have that retard rj who got paid during the summer is playing battier to a stalemate...
its basically 3 vs 8 on the court...
3 day break and this is what the team can conjure up?
yep that is what ive been saying to myself.....ive seen alot of physical play by memphis and the refs aren't calling those fouls...yet the spurs barely touch a guy and they get called for a foul....yes the refs are helping out the grizz.....maybe its just me but it does seem that way..refs are screwing the spurs......

Just the end, hit the link for the whole piece.
NBA Playoffs: Zach Randolph and the most unlikely Spurs possession ever (http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/24/nba-playoffs-zach-randolph-and-the-most-unlikely-spurs-possession-ever/)
Matt Moore
...So, just to recap. We live in a world where the Grizzlies have the advantage in a playoff series, where the Spurs don’t execute down the stretch, where Shane Battier is a beast in the post, and where Tony Parker has trouble in the clutch.
If you guys need me, I’ll be in the basement with bottled water and Spam.

Memphis Grizzlies 91, San Antonio Spurs 88: Tony Parker and milk cartons (http://www.48minutesofhell.com/memphis-grizzlies-91-san-antonio-spurs-88-tony-parker-and-milk-cartons/comment-page-1)
by Jesse Blanchard
48 Minutes of Hell
At the end of regulation a confusing and chaotic swarm of Memphis Grizzlies surrounded the ball. There was not, however, a San Antonio Spurs three-point attempt. So went the game. So goes the series. The top-seeded San Antonio Spurs now trail 1-2 after an 88-91 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies (http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=310423029).
In an ironic reversal of the Spurs’ regular season success, it was San Antonio’s defense holding up it’s end of the bargain, making the necessary stop in the closing seconds of the game. It was the offense that failed.
Grabbing the rebound with roughly 10 seconds remaining George Hill pushed the ball, slowing momentarily for a quick glance to the sidelines, but without a timeout call from the coaches , advanced the ball ahead to Manu Ginobili. Ginobili was immediately trapped along the sideline. In giving the ball to the Spurs best player Hill took it out of the hands of its most under-utlized weapon.

I'm really sad.
I stayed up till past 3am to watch that loss. At virtually no point was it enjoyable.
I don't understand why we are not attempting 3's. I don't understand why, if we are not attempting 3's, we give 3-point specialists significant minutes.
I don't understand why if their bigs are dominating us, we play a stretch 4 and a 6'8 big man to try to combat them.
I don't understand why a Finals MVP has failed to show up.
And it galls to think that it's like the team we're playing thought all this about us, and decided to take their shot with us, and now they're proving themselves right.
sorry for the negativity all :(

Our guys fought hard in the second half. Shut the fuck up to those of you tearing them down.
The Faggot grizzlies got a once in a lifetime shot out of Randolph. Thats the only reason they won.
Once in a lifetime shot -- was it worth 20 points? If that's the only reason the Spurs lost then that could be acceptable. But Zbo made a wide-open three (okay let's give the late close out) and if that's the only reason why the Spurs would lose then they wouldn't have lost.

"I don't understand why we are not attempting 3's."
2 of 15 attempts if quite enough.
If Spurs had shot their season avg of 40%, that would have been 6 of 15, 12 more points.

Zbo has made 108 career three pointers. Yeah, once in a lifetime shot Spurs fan. What's that make Duncan's 3 against the Suns a few years back? :lol

I'm surprised the Duncan haters aren't making the FIBA cracks since this series is being allowed to be very physical and the Spurs are floundering.
