The three things NO has to do to win game 4

1. Chris Paul needs to take 17 or more shots.
2. Hornets need less than 10 turnovers.
3. Hornets need to hit 6 three pointers. Taking no more than 15 threes.

The first thing is very easily done by Chris Paul being more aggressive. Like I said in the game thread almost every time he gets a screen he has time to get up a shot, he needs to take that shot. He went 9-13 in game 3 there is no reason for him not to attempt more shots.

Chris Paul started of game 3 in a frenzy committing a few careless turnovers. NO needs as many attempts as possible during the game and can not afford to give up 10 or more turnovers. This will also decrease the number of easy fast break points the Lakers get.

Hornets aren't the best 3 point shooting team but they need a good 6 for 15 threes shooting performance if they want to win game 4. Belinelli shot 41% on three in the regular season but has shot horrible this series. In the series he has shot 3-14 or 21% three-pointers. His low percentage is shocking because it seems like most of his attempts are good looks. Everything should even out in the long-run but the long-run needs to be game 4. In order to reach the target of 6 Belineli will probably need to make three 3's.

Game 4 needs to look a lot more like the second half of game 3 but hopefully for NO sake Lakers won't be able hit all their 3's.

If these three things don't happen NO is done. If NO does this they should be able to take game 4 and be right where they want to be in the series.

Hornetfan keep your head up it ain't over yet. Good Luck.:toast

You forgot:

- clone David West
- trade Ariza for Chandler right before tip off

Because it's really that simple

5 turnovers or less isn't a reasonable goal IMO. Also Lakers have put up 13 turnovers in the first 3 games. Less than 10 turnovers would probably mean at least 4 less turnovers than LA. Thats all you can ask for.

What's your Rx for the Spurs? Those two games in FedEx Arena are going to be huge.

:lol - that's what I love about Kobe's game. He has the ability to kill you within the offense or during one of his "fuck it" 3 pt barrages. :lol

Everybody knows what the triangle offense is all about. The Lakers are heavily scouted especially during the playoffs. Kobe and Fish knows this offense inside and out. I don't think Kobe practiced with the Lakers but a handful of times all year but you wouldn't know it during the games. Depending on what the champs need, that determines if he runs the offense or not. Other teams know the triangle, but what can they do to defend it, especially if the Lakers are rolling?

That game 1 loss and "close" game 2 win is on Pau. Pau shows up. Then bam! Blowout.

It's not over yet, but I like how the champs are playing.

The hornets have been gifted with more charities than LA so maybe they can attack more and draw drew and pau in early foul trouble. Go hard at fisher and blake and then make artest go nuts

1. Really attack the offensive glass, especially since Bellinelli and Ariza can't hit jumpers
2. Better bench production - Willie Green and Jack and Jason Smith must provide more scoring
3. Okafor must "sweep the leg"

1) Limit turnovers between 5 and 10

2) Avoid shooting too many 3-pointers unless shot clock is running down and really wide open.

3) Focus on penetrating to the basket especially off screens and have good ball movement. Everyone should try to penetrate and draw fouls.

4) Paul needs to have at least 10 assists, but probably 20 pts at least too.

5) Start Gray and Okafor and bring Landry off the bench whenever Odom comes in.

That's the only things I can suggest. Might not be enough, but will give them the best chance to succeed.

Son you're pretty dead on with it. Paul should be shooting the ball 20 times per game in the playoffs, but its our lack of size and Belinelli not being able to hitt the broadside of a barn that is killing us.

18 shots at least. I have no idea how he could go 8-10 in the first half and then only take 3 shots in the 2nd half.

Lakers hard trapping him immediately 2nd half might have had something to do with that.

Nah, we were all watching that game. Chris Paul was coming off screens wide open for midrange jumpers and passing it to other players who couldn't hit shit all night. He has to get more aggressive especially when he gets a good look. A good look for Chris Paul is a better offensive option than anything else on the floor. He tends to over-pass.

Paul is surrounded by ass-clowns on the perimeters. Amazing how Monty put Thornton 3rd string behind Marco and Green.

Paul didn't shoot alot in the 3rd, but he didn't have to since Landry was going off. That kept the game close. The 4th quarter got out of reach whenever Paul went out of the game. By the time he came back in, Jack and Green were already jacking up long shots and the Lakers had a 14 pt lead.

:lol I watched that game and I think you missed or are forgetting how the Lakers were sending the 2nd defender (usually a big) to double Paul in the 2nd half, an adjustment from the first. They didn't do it til the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Bynum was completely leaving Okafor to stay with Fisher on Paul for long stretches. Pau was doing the same. If you or anyone else thinks there's no correlation between this and his decreased number of shot attempts, I'm not sure what to tell you.

BTW it's good to see that a strategy of having Chris Paul shoot more "midrange jumpers" is what passes for winning basketball strategy round these parts. As we've so often heard, championships are won with midrange jumpers. :tu
